Kim if you decide you like the Pirate Queen series, try Bloody Jack series. They're historical novels as well as being about a young London girl in the late 18th century who runs away to sea as a boy and her adventures after that. I have at least onw review out but I think they probably say more about how much I love the series.... First one: Bloody Jack: Being an Account of the Curious Adventures of Mary " Jacky" Faber, Ship's Boy by L. A. Meyer.

Thanks Linda, that does sound as if it would be a great Young Adult series and I'll definitely keep it in mind for future reading.

Cassandra Page (cassandrapage) I've done nine of mine, but unless my son is super-cooperative in the next 24 hours or so, I think I will run out of time. :p Still, I've loved doing this challenge; I've discovered some new favourite authors I never would have otherwise read (Melissa Keil, Ellie Marney and Allyse Near in particular).
