Melanie | 1900 comments A lot of us are quarantined in our homes, which in theory is a great time to catch up on reading. But how do we access books if libraries and book stores are closed too?

Share your advice and frustrations in this thread.

laurel [the suspected bibliophile] (laurelthereader) Many libraries have digital resources available, with free ebooks and eaudiobooks through Overdrive/Libby and RBDigital. While these might have longer hold lists, if you're lucky and your library has hoopla you can access those titles immediately.

Some indie bookstores will deliver books through the mail.

It sucks that the libraries are closed, but there are options. And libraries are vectors for the spread of pandemics. It's a good thing that they're taking precautions (and for the safety/morale of staff too—I was worried my coworkers were either going to murder me or mutiny if we were open another day).

Tina (anotherstoryreader) | 3 comments I got an e-mail that Michale's Crafts is offering curbside pick up. LOL I'm like can my library offer that too?
