I think that you will really like it. I borrowed the Kindle edition from the library which reminds me to ask: have you found your Kindle yet??

So frustrating, no!! But I haven't had much time to look either. After all the sick days I took for my flu, I have a work backlog from hell. My boss would prefer I stay till midnight every night for the forseeable future, but that's not going to happen. Working a lot though.

Maybe Ron accidentally put it in the closet somewhere. Hmmm, another idea of where to check :) I really feel it's somewhere in the darn house, just somewhere I wouldn't ordinarily expect it to be.

Let's start a company Laura! We can call it "Everyday objects for forgetful people" :) I know I would make use of their products!

I usually wear contacts during the day, but at night I wear glasses. Sometimes after I take out my contacts, a half blind search for my glasses can be quite a trick!

Laurel Bradshaw (llawryf) | 703 comments You seem to have liked that one with 4 stars. I live in Minnesota, and I'm a birdwatcher, so I'm tempted by that series, but it hasn't had the best reviews.

Well, it isn't a classic but for what it is (light entertainment), I think it is above average. 3½ stars is probably more appropriate -- I've gone back and made that adjustment.

Ah well, at least I didn't pay for it. Another group I belong to is doing an Isaac Asimov read so this was OK as a refresher -- I have read the books at least twice before.

Overbooked ✎ (kiwi_fruit) | 473 comments ... note to self: reread Isaac Asimov Foundation series, I wonder what's it called (pentalogy or quintet?)

I just call anything with more than 3 books a series -- too hard to keep in mind how many there are otherwise! I suppose both of the series I read by Trollope had 6 books so they could be called sextets :P

Leslie | 16369 comments 25. Why Shoot a Butler? by Georgette Heyer {reread}

Even though I own this in paperback, I read the Kindle edition which I borrowed from the BPL this time. My paperback is in poor condition & missing some pages so it was nice to have the complete book for once!

Leslie, this sounds like an interesting mystery series. I can't tell the time period setting from the book's description...what would you say? Would you recommend this series?

They are contemporary. I would definitely recommend them & the translator (Stephen Saratelli) includes notes at the end about various cultural or historical references that an American wouldn't get which I find very interesting.
