Title: Life Of Pi
Author: Yann Martel
Genre: Adventure/Drama
Rating out of 10: 8.5

Why I decided to read this book?

I decided to read this book because of all its great reviews and ratings. Most of my family had already read it and really ecouraged me to read it. This book really attracted me because of the cover page. I really like animals and the ocean so when I saw the front page, I was almost 100% sure I would read this book.

Why I liked it (or didn’t like it) and my favourite quote and why.

I liked this book because of its adventure. Pi is stuck on a boat with a Tiger, Zebra, Hyena, and Orangutan. There is lot's of drama and twists throughout the book which keeps me hooked and wanting to read more

My favourite quote in the book 'Life of Pi' is "I suppose in the end, the whole of life becomes an act of letting go, but what always hurts the most is not taking a moment to say goodbye."- Pi. I like this quote because it is sad but peacful sentence about Pi talking about death.
Something new I learned from this book/The book made me think differently about.

Something I thought differently about were refugees traveling on little life boats and dinghy's throughout the ocean looking for new places to settle down and start a new life. There are so many people out on the ocean surrounded by hundreds of people on a life boat. The boat seemed crowded with a human and a Tiger. Imagine how crowded it would be on those life boats.
A character or setting in this book that was interesting to me (and why).

A charactor in this book that was very interesting to me was the tiger Richard Parker. Richards attitude changed throughout the book and throughout he and Pi's relationship. Richard first started as a ferocious, hunger, angry tiger looking for prey to sink his jaws into but as the book continued on, Richard and Pi really started to bond and trust eachother.
