MaryG2E (goodreadscommaryg2e) | 934 comments I regret to say I did much less reading than I'd expected, but it was due to balmy weather and visits to and from friends I had not seen for months. So enjoyable after weeks of isolation.

Dark City by Catherine Lee 27 pages
and
The Fiery Cross by Diana Gabaldon 50 pages
Giving me a total for the week-end of 1,076 pages

message 164: by Steve (last edited Jun 07, 2020 06:39PM) (new)

Steve | 1020 comments I am terrible. I spent all weekend being distracted by other things, and if I'm honest I'm reading the wrong book for a readathon because the non-fiction-explainy bits will mention something interesting and then I get more distracted by looking it up.

Over the three days I read 240 pages of The Globe. And I'm certain at least 400 Wikipedia articles -- they count, right?

Total for the weekend: 240 pages

Deb Omnivorous Reader | 1929 comments Ok, my total for this readathon was pretty bad. I started and finished Journey to the Center of the Earth by Jules Verne

It was an audiobook that refuses to reveal the page count, but as an unabridged copy I believe it was 240 pages.

That's a fantastic effort, especially in view of the fact that most of the Australian readers were enjoying their first weekend after relaxation of intra-state travel restrictions and a long weekend! Well done everyone who took part!

That's a great outcome Brenda, and congratulations to all participants. My reading time was seriously eroded by visits to and from friends, as we celebrated the relaxation of isolation with food, wine, chats, laughs and walks in the mild golden sunshine.
