Arenda | 26385 comments #1 Author profiles are merged. The handfull of editions with Clive Staples Lewis on the cover now have C.S. Lewis as primary author and Clive Staples Lewis as secondary author.

I'm still working on combining the books; yesterday I had reached the limit for daily edits; today combine pages keep timing out, but still working on combining.

#2-3 done

No. This should be in the language field.

I regard the entire section as the "edition" field, and librarians have moved to correct line when I have used the phrase before.

Elizabeth (Alaska) Liz V. wrote: "I regard the entire section as the "edition" field, and librarians have moved to correct line when I have used the phrase before."

Then it has been done incorrectly. The language belongs in the language field, not in the edition field.

"Edition language" is, to me, the correct line of the "edition field".
/book/show/3...
If not, I leave to librarians to resolve.

There is a field on the edit page called: edition
that's where it gets designations like Illustrated or Large Print or 1st Edition. It shows up on the book page next to where it says Hardcover or Kindle or whatever the format is. and it isn't identified as anything at all on the book page

The "Language" field on the edit page is identified as "Edition Language" on the book page.

So the terminology differs between the 2 pages.

I hadn't noticed it before either.

Now I will pay more attention to terminology in requests myself.

Liz V. (wwwgoodreadscomlizv) | 42551 comments Thank you Suzi.

For non-librarians, the edit page is not visible. I refer to anything below the book description as the edition field.

It's discouraging that incorrect names are re-imported so quickly.
