Do you have any interest in books where you can only read letters from one person and the other person doesn't write back?

Yeah! That's fine. I didn't think that there would be too many books like that. Why write to a pen pal if their not going to write you back? I undersrand if its a fan letter like in Dear Mr. Henshaw

Or to yourself in Dear Evan Hansen

Thank you, Rachel.

message 12: by Rainbowheart (new)

Rainbowheart | 27949 comments Yeah, I was thinking of Dear Mr. Henshaw, but also Dear Hank Williams for a one-sided pen pal relationship.

There's also P.S. I Miss You. The two girls are sisters who are separated, but one doesn't write back.

message 40: by Sycorax (new)

Sycorax | 88 comments Cry Blue Murder by Kim Kane and Marion Roberts (darker than Letters from the Inside, but partially inspired by it, in my opinion).
Sorcery and Cecilia, by Caroline Stevermer and Patricia Wrede (regency romantic comedy with magic).

KeenReader | 49 comments This book always makes me laugh. Two older ladies (they're widows and I think they both have grown up children) meet at a wedding and start writing to each other about the ups and downs of their lives, which are quite eventful as they both get up to various escapades.
Ladies of Letters, New and Old

KeenReader | 49 comments If you are up for a non-fiction 84, Charing Cross Road is the true story of Helene Hanff and Frank Doel. He was a London bookseller and she sent him her book "wish list". From that, a 20-year correspondence started between them based around the books they loved.
