Old Town road started out as a very popular TikTok that included snippets of people dancing to the song. Everyone was like, "Whoa. Country music + Trap beats. Whoa." That's why Old Town Road was so popular. It boosted Lil Nas X to fame and stardom.

@Imtryan, Yeah, it's just way too overrated though.

The novelty of modern "ice cream" stretches back to the 17th century, when Charles I first ate it. He liked it, and it was a regular desert in no time. He was like, "Whoa. Cold sweet milk. Whoa. Fruit-flavored ice. Whoa", and ice cream became a scientific marvel. "How can frozen milk have such a creamy texture? When I freeze my milk, all it does is turn to ice." went the scientists of the time. Then came a little revelation: the endothermic effect. Before this discovery, ice cream could be chilled but not frozen, but with it people learned that when you add salt to ice, it lowers the melting point, making it much colder. While the discovery of this technique dates back to 4th century AD, it became widely known by the people in the recipe book Mrs. Mary Eales's Receipts, published in London.
Anyways, to answer your comment, Fiona, ice cream has become overrated, with people looking at this show of human brilliance with disdain and disgust. If everyone took a few minutes to stop and ponder this icy treat, then...they'd still think it's overrated. That's just the fate of ice cream; to be unappreciated.
Phewph. My fingers are practically broken now. I had to take breaks in between to do other stuff, but my joints are still hurting.

Wait!
Are you guys talking about ice cream, icecream?
I thought you guys were talking about a song!

message 11: by Imtryan153 (new)

Imtryan153 No! I wrote that extremely in-depth paragraph to impress everyone with my research and writing skills! Why would I waste it on Blackpink and Selena Gomez?

Nice history lesson by the way.

Imtryan153 Eh, the song Ice Cream was pretty good. I'll try not to analyze it too much, but I think it was a PR ploy for American support. In order to gain more fans, BLACKPINK, a well-known K-Pop group, teamed up with Selena Gomez, a well-known Pop artist. They combined their fanbases in order to gain more popularity, introducing K-Pop bands to Selena Gomez's music and Selena Gomez's fan's to the peppy world that is K-Pop.

Yeah, I see it a lot with BTS.
They wern't as big in America, until they started collaborating with rappers.
Then BTS blew up in the states and every singer and rapper (Jason Derulo) is suddenly a k-pop stan.

Imtryan153 Aah! So it was about the song! Dang it!

Imtryan153 Good! I'm glad that it wasn't for nothing! Anything else you need comically written about, just put it here.
