A heartwarming story of two people who were meant for each other.

Soohyuk: a pediatric emergency medicine specialist. A man who never eats something someone else gives him.

Soohyuk, the tyrant who rules S University Hospital’s pediatric emergency room. He only cares about treating sick children, whether or not that gets in the way of advancing his career. He, a grouch to everyone aside from the patients, suddenly starts noticing a woman: the woman who feeds him.

Yuna: a chef who makes boxed lunches. A woman who panics and collapses whenever she meets a man, due to trauma from her past.

Wanting to do what she likes rather than going off to college, Yuna opens up her own business that specializes in boxed lunches, A Tasty Meal. She gets scared when one day she sees the tall Soohyuk standing outside her restaurant, but she soon learns he is only drawn to the delicious smell. And, somehow, she comes to be in charge of his everyday meals.

When Soohyuk meets Yuna, a confident, surefooted woman who gets startled and scared when he comes near, he wants to know everything there is to know about her.

Ch 9 (25%) - Ok, I see what you guys are saying about the language, but I just chalked that up to "lost in translation". What I am wondering is (view spoiler)[ 1) if she is terrified of men and faints whenever threatened, how the hell is he going to be the man for her. He practically attacks people with his words. 2) Since she is an orphan, does that mean that eventually she will end up helping him with his investigation somehow? I'm just wondering why they have that connection, the author must be going to use it, right? (hide spoiler)]

Finished - Ugh, I DESPISE when authors abruptly end a story in what appears to be a random place. I think I would actually prefer a cliffhanger or a sad ending. It irks me. As for the rest of the story - (view spoiler)[ I have grown to like Yuma and Matt, though it did bother me a little that Matt's character was supposed to be socially inept, yet kept calling her "cute". I don't know why it bothered me. I guess I thought he was so emotionally distant that he would view attractiveness in a clinical way and "cute" just doesn't fit. Likewise, Yuma is terrified of men but keeps remarking on how handsome he is like it overcomes all the problems she has. Despite those issues, I did start to like them together.

As for the whole adoption/birth parent plot, I seriously kept expecting something to trigger some memories so these poor people can find each other already. It frustrated me, but I suppose I have to admit that the author did a good job of teasing me thinking a breakthrough was imminent. Like when Ms. Seo brought her special porridge, I thought for sure it would at least spill on the floor and the scent would trigger something. In the same scene - Ms. Jung's nastiness would shock him into remembering, but alas nothing happened on his side. Ms. Seo seems to be waking up. I guess I'm just pissed that another book has to be written before we find out. I feel like all these things could have been accomplished in ONE book if the author had trimmed things up a little. I mean, unless the author plans to also cure Minjoon's illness somehow - I could see how that might take up some space in the plot. (hide spoiler)]

Finished - Finally free!!! Since I read your comments, I expected an abrupt ending but I find it weird that this isn't a standalone romance. I obviously won't be reading the sequel, I'm just glad I'm done with this. If it hadn't been an ARC I would have dnf this a long time ago.
