Would you recommend this book? Yes, although I did prefer Circe over this one.

Author: Madeline Miller
I would recommend this book for sure. It was a 5 star read for me. I enjoyed this so much more than Circe. Circe is an anti-hero where as Patroclus is a hero so it's easier to like him.

Author: Naomi Alderman
Would you recommend this book? I don't know. It was a great premise and interesting parts, but I didn't completely like the execution.

Author: Lionel Shriver
Would you recommend this book? Yes and No. If I didn't have the audio book I don't think I would have gotten through it. That said, the last 70 pages or so really brought out the disturbing aspects that some people talk about. Was it a satisfying ending? EH. I do want to watch the movie though.
Title: Home Fire
Author: Kamila Shamsie
Would you recommend this book?
Yes! This category was a bit of a struggle for me, and this was the second book I picked up. I settled on it almost at random (it looked vaguely interesting, and the audiobook was available on Overdrive), and I really enjoyed it. It turned out to be a modern retelling of Antigone, which I think really added some depth to the story. (Haha I guess the prize-givers appreciate re-tellings of ancient Greek stories, since Song of Achilles was also a winner!) I probably never would have read this book if not for this Challenge.

Author: Suzanne Berne
Would you recommend this book? Definitely. Beautifully written, truly well-fleshed characters. It drew me in from the first few pages. While the writing *is* descriptive, it's not overly flowery. Just enough detail to transport me there and then.
