1. Favorite Book Couple
This is such a hard one. But most recently, I loved Tiffy and Leon from The Flatshare.

The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue is our book club pick for March and I can't wait to read it,

3. The book(s) you would like to give as a gift to someone else?
The House in the Cerulean Sea was just so, so lovely.

4. A character with no romantic interest who is awesome all the same
Do they make books with no romantic interest? Maybe I just don't like/gravitate to books that have no romantic interest?

5. An overrated romance you wish people would stop talking about
I reallllly didn't enjoy The Dinner List, but it was all the rage when it came out.

6. An auto-buy/read author
Kristin Hannah, Angie Thomas, Kate Quinn, Susanna Kearsley, Taylor Jenkins Reid

Sarah (sezziy) | 614 comments 1. Favourite Book Couple
Too hard to pick one! From recent reads, probably Monty and Percy from The Gentleman's Guide to Vice and Virtue but all time, maybe Anne and Captain Wentworth in Persuasion. Clearly I have a thing for pining!

2. The book that other people love but you haven’t read yet
The first one coming to mind is Middlesex. I own it but I keep reading other things instead

3. The book you would like to give as a gift to someone else?
No idea! I don't really have any close friends or family who are big readers so I tend to receive books more than give them.

4. A character with no romantic interest who is awesome all the same
Maia in The Goblin Emperor. (view spoiler)

5. An overrated romance you wish people would stop talking about
Unpopular opinion but Jo and Laurie from Little Women. They're too much like brother and sister. Jo knows it, Marmee knows it, Laurie eventually gets it. People seem to hate Amy (view spoiler) but she was always my favourite character

6. An auto-buy/read author
The only one I can think of is Noel Streatfeild because her books give me the warm and fuzzy feeling of being a kid lol

7. A place or person you go for recommendations or review
Only ŷ really. I have a few friends here whose tastes seem to align quite well with mine, and few who are complete opposites so they're both good for finding new books

8. The first book of a series that made you want to finish the series ASAP
A Darker Shade of Magic is the first one that popped into my head

9. A book series you "broke up" with or didn't finish
The Complete Sookie Stackhouse Stories They were enjoyable but all sort of merge into one after a while. I'd probably pick one up again if I was in the mood but I think I liked the TV show a bit more than the books.

10. An unforgettable character
Can I put the whole gang from The Lies of Locke Lamora here?

Samantha | 1502 comments 1. Favorite Book Couple - Barry and Helena in (view spoiler). I don't recall how far in the book it takes for romance to bloom and don't want to spoil it.
2. The book that other people love but you haven’t read yet - The House in the Cerulean Sea. In of itself I have no interest but it seems like no matter who I see review it it it gets high marks which makes me think I should give it a shot.

4. A character with no romantic interest who is awesome all the same- Candace Chen form Severance

Anna and the French Kiss! To be fair, I don't know if anyone is talking about this one anymore, but it was everywhere for a while and just doesn't seem appealing to me at all.

Roxana (luminate) | 758 comments 1. Favorite Book Couple: I swear I hadn't seen Laurel's comment before I wrote this, but -- it's a toss-up between Harriet Vane and Lord Peter Wimsey, Anne Elliot and Frederick Wentworth, and Jonathan & Arabella Strange. And, on the platonic side, Jack Aubrey and Stephen Maturin, best bros forever.

2. The book that other people love but you haven’t read yet: Circe, and I have owned it for YEARS and yet still never get around to it. I'm sure I'll love it! I just...keep...reading other things!

3. The book(s) you would like to give as a gift to someone else? The Midnight Bargain

4. A character with no romantic interest who is awesome all the same: My mind is still on Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell, so I'm going with Childermass for this one.

5. An overrated romance you wish people would stop talking about:
Outlander. Sorry not sorry.

6. An auto-buy/read author: Zen Cho, C.L. Polk, Susanna Clarke, and Sarah Gailey!

7. A place or person you go for recommendations or review: The New York Public Library's Twitter account, I've gotten a lot of personalized recs from them for specific requests like dark academia, or what to read after I've run out of a particular author, etc.

8. The first book of a series that made you want to finish the series ASAP: Witchmark but I had to wait a Y E A R before I got the next one, and MOST of another year before the third! Thank goodness I got an arc.

9. A book series you "broke up" with or didn't finish: I ghost a lot of series, there's nothing that dramatic about it. It's rarely as definitive as a break up - I might always go back. I just...haven't yet. There's a lot of books out there. ...except for the Cormoran Strike series. That one's more permanent. Can't stomach them anymore.

10. An unforgettable character: Clarissa Dalloway.

°ʴ° (amybooksit) 1. Favorite Book Couple:
Is it cheating to pick a couple that started off on TV but now only exists in the ever expanding post-tv novelizations and graphics? Nah. My favorite couple is Wash and Zoe from Firefly - The Ghost Machine 💖

2. The book that other people love but you haven’t read yet:
Well, I have only ever read the first book in the Harry Potter series and I am pretty sure that I have never read anything by Jane Austin. For more recent fads, I haven't read Outlander or A Game of Thrones. 🤷‍♀

3. The book(s) you would like to give as a gift to someone else?:
I don't generally give books as a gifts but the last book I passed on to a friend because they commented on it was Lucy: The Beginnings of Humankind

4. A character with no romantic interest who is awesome all the same: Both Locke and his friend Jean in
The Lies of Locke Lamora, however I think both of them would be perfectly terrible in relationships so I hope they never "settle down"

. An overrated romance you wish people would stop talking about:
All of them? I am honestly not as enthusiastic about book romances as some people seem to be. I just don't get it.

6. An auto-buy/read author:
Scott Lynch, Hugh Howey, Gareth L. Powell, Martha Wells

7. A place or person you go for recommendations or review:
I get a lot of my recs from science fiction based booktubers such as: Chapter and Converse, Book Invasion and Shades of Orange

8. The first book of a series that made you want to finish the series ASAP:Embers of War by Gareth L. Powell and All Systems Red, the first in the Murderbot series by Martha Wells.

9. A book series you "broke up" with or didn't finish:
Hm....I guess I have "broken up" with The Red Queen Series since I just can not get more than half way through War Storm after several attempts. I also am struggling to continue with the Red Rising series. I loved the first trilogy but can't get into the first of the second series set in that universe, Iron Gold.

10. An unforgettable character:
Everyone from The Lies of Locke Lamora. Also most of the characters in the Murderbot series.
