I felt giddy when I saw that price drop myself. ;)

Char | 17408 comments Heheh, Maxine! I hope you enjoy it!

I finished the third stave on Friday night and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Valancourt Books (valancourt_books) | 271 comments I am just starting stave 2 so I should be caught up by tomorrow. I promised myself I wouldn't read anything work-related on vacation last week. I should have lied to myself and read it anyway. :)

Addy | 5111 comments Thanks Maxine! I bought it right away! I've gotta start the second stave too. (view spoiler)

Laurie (barksbooks) (barklesswagmore) | 1471 comments Stave 1 finished. This is my first experience reading this author and I love the way he writes. He's really knows how to set a mood just the way I like it.

Char | 17408 comments Mr. Gregory popped onto the discussion board over at The Pigeonhole today and said hello. So that was cool.

I received a strange email from the site today. If things work out, we all might learn more about that tomorrow. :)

Valancourt Books (valancourt_books) | 271 comments I'm interested to know about the email, too! Great to see Gregory on the discussion board.

Laurie (barksbooks) (barklesswagmore) | 1471 comments Stave 3: Poor, sweet (view spoiler). I didn't see that coming.

Oh my gosh, that one got to me. I finished the last stave last night and was pretty floored. Gregory's one of my new favorite authors for sure. What a great book!

Char | 17408 comments I finished it just a little while ago and I loved it. The last two staves were jam packed with stuff happening. I gave it a 4.5 rating. :)

Maxine, (everyone, really), I highly recommend The Cormorant if you like Gregory's style.

Kate | 3525 comments Does anyone want to buddy read The Cormorant The Cormorant by Stephen Gregory .

I'd like to start it the first week of March if anyone is interested.
Maxine, are you still interested?

message 67: by Maxine Marsh (new)

Maxine Marsh | 737 comments I think we could do that, or read The Woodwitch and see if The Cormorant goes on sale one of these days!

message 68: by Addy (new)

Addy | 5111 comments I picked up the woodwitch too:)

message 69: by Char (new)

Char | 17408 comments I can't wait to see what you guys think of both of those books. :)

Valancourt Books (valancourt_books) | 271 comments I thought you boys and gulls (sorry) might like this:

Here's a radio interview with Stephen Gregory. He discusses his previous novels, his fascination with birds and more. I enjoyed it!

His interview starts around the 18 minute mark.

Addy | 5111 comments Finally finished. In a way, I didn't really want it to be done...oh well. I'm taking my time on The Blood of Angels and still need to attack Woodwitch. Eventually I'd like to read everything he's written. I just hope he keeps churning them out! This book was another great read from Mr Gregory. I was surprised at the death toll in this book. The ending, was superb because as much as David hated the gull, he still had compassion for it and in turn the gull gave David a little piece of himself back. David can move on now and make something of his young self:)
