Are there any aspects or characters of the In Death series that you feel strongly about one way or the other? That you feel make for good topics of discussions? Give us your suggestions and we'll showcase them as future "Cases". As mentioned in the first post, we only need a sentence or two explaining your idea and we'll take it from there.

I was wondering some topics have already been discussed but could maybe be revisited.
Eg.1. Urban Wars- How is it that something that Ms Robb started as an idea in 1990s can now almost feel prolific in the times we live in currently .
2.The case of Eve and her metaphor mix ups. Or are they ... ?
2.Play around with the idea that this is set in the future but what would you keep, change, or not even think/worry about.
And yes...everything is open to be a "case". Even things we've hashed over as a group in the past. We have new points of view and I know sometimes viewpoints change over time. We want to explore them all!

On topic I discuss with my cousin is how the characters early years impact them today. Eve, Roarke, and Mavis had horrific childhoods, but they turned their lives around in very different directions. Compare and contrast.

1. Recurring characters :
who's your favourite?
Who surprised you on their return?
2. The novellas. They are mostly themed based.
What do you think of those themes.
3. What was the most surprising/memorable moments in the series. Case related or personality of any of the characters

Oooh! A good question to ponder!

I would love that scene. I keep thinking it is going to happen, but she never comes home with her uniform. I don't think Eve will go for kinky uniform sex in the office.

Thing is, I think she's gonna draw a hard line on that fantasy, but in the spirit of being pragmatic (and if Nora doesn't add this as an anniversary present, I'm gonna be disappointed), I think she'd be willing to buy an officer costume that you see in sex shops.

The Candy Thief - esp her eyeing McNab, but I think its Roarke
He would find it too much fun to resist - IMHO
Novellas - love it
Also my input - not so much the one liners, yet I sometimes find gems in statements, observations & psychological oberservations - the first two anyone says something profound & latter Mira of course.

Since Nora has stated that a pregnant Eve would end the series, there’s not much for a case to be built.

I like it when they get involved with the kids of others, but I don't think a child of their own would play well in this series. Their loyalties and priorities would be divided which would change the entire dynamic of the series. I'm not sure how fans (me included) would react to that kind of change.
Nora made it clear about children ending the series. My apologies for limiting it to pregnancy earlier.

He had an instant HATE for Eve, and I don't understand it. He comes around, and I love their snipes at each other now. However, In the beginning, it is implied that he believes Eve is beneath Roarke. That never made sense to me. Roarke is a "Dublin street rat" and never hides it. I could understand a dislike, but this is more than that. What do you think is the real reason Summerset hates Eve so much in the first few books.
