Woo hoo! This motif is right up my alley :-) So many choices ...

COMPLETE: I chose to read the second Weather Warden Book - the world and magic system are unique enough to be fresh with a strong main character I love. I love how the elements are the heart of human magic which can combine with the other-worldly magic of the genies to make the wardens incredibly effective in protecting the world. Definitely similar to my beloved Dresden & while this is not a favorite, it was strong enough to make me want to read the next book.

Yes! I love this one too.

Finally getting back to a Charlaine Harris book, Midnight Crossroad. I loved her Harper Connelly series, was sad to see it end.

The Apparition in the Attic Courtney McFarlin 8/4/21

Main character Brynn can communicate with ghosts and help them cross over. She has a staging business that's her normal-person reason for helping realtors sell properties, but it's usually due to a ghost she needs to help. Very cozy and nothing scary for this super chicken of a reader LOL

Gwendy's Magic Feather by Richard Chizmar

I read I wish it could be Christmas every day, and there was definitely Christmas magic at work in this story. I loved it. Challenge complete.

Challenge complete! I read The Magician's Diary by C.J. Archer. Loved this historical fiction series with magicians.

Completed the challenge in July by reading: The Girl from the Well. This was a quick and interesting read.
