McNab on One Knee

Detective Ian McNab has made no secret of his love for Delia Peabody (or, Shebody according to him). It was love at first sight for this guy and he just seems to be sinking deeper into their relationship. Spring is in the air and they’re making plans to move into the guest house on Mavis & Leonardo's new property.

Can we expect to see McNab lower himself on bended knee with a ring box in hand and ask our Delia that important question? Or, is he not quite ready to take that step and is waiting for her to suggest it first?

Build your case!

Maggie | 1571 comments I think McNab will get down on one knee one day, but not yet. I think that even though they live together and have a strong ,loving relationship they aren't in marriage mode. As a couple they are enjoying their life as It is and professionally Peabody is working hard at being the best detective she can be and continuing to learn from Eve. I don't think Peabody is ready for marriage yet. I think if Peabody really wanted marriage right now McNab would propose, but he knows the time isn't right and is ok with it. He'll know when the time is right.

Barbara "Cookie" Serfaty Williams (goodreadscomcookiew1801) | 1573 comments Delia and McNabb discuss it in a couple of books ago they decide they have a long time to wait because they’re not quite ready for it so this debate is totally without merit Robb said that they would marry sometimes in the distant future

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3018 comments I see McNab and Peabody as a Goldie Hawn / Kurt Russell type of couple. They don't need a marriage certificate to make their cohabitation work. I suspect they will talk about marriage when they get around to talking about children. Marriage isn't that important to them yet.

yes he did, but they weren't ready.

Karma Queen (karmaqueen) | 259 comments I agree with your assessment Sharon. If an arrangement works for them and they are in agreement it's all good.

Dstny5233 | 38 comments I want them to just be them and stay in a cohabitation situation. They're the youngest long term couple in the group (minus Troy) and I liked that they discussed it and decided against it for the moment. I want them to stay a happy free couple without the obligation to marry.

Honestly though, this might be my life circumstances eking through (42 never married and living with the love of my life I've known since 16). but I'd like to know in a future where there are LC's and pro moms, 2 unmarried adults won't have a stigma around them.

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3018 comments I don't see any pressure. It sounds like cohabs are considered committed to each other.
