Ok, so...Going into this book I had doubts. It has a Twilight looking cover and the book is about vampires. On top of that, it’s set in a fairly isolated small northern town (Kind of like Forks) so the similarities are still there.

Here’s a bit of my thought process throughout this book:

-Why do we always have to go into so much detail about the main character moving somewhere new?

-People I’m a fan of: Macy and Flint but still not sure about Jaxon. He’s a bit too moody and wishy washy. You can obviously tell he’s going to be the love interest right when he shows up.

-Dude. Everyone needs to just admit they are some kind of paranormal and get it over with.

-Was prepared for vampires and witches. Not prepared for Flint to be a dragon.

-I get that I’m supposed to swoon at the Grace/Jaxon angle, but I can’t help but relate them to Tamlin and Feyre from ACOTR. It’s something about the badass girl with the overprotective dude.

-She is doomed. The only mortal girl and everything is trying to kill her.

-Suspicious of Flint.

-Whelp. Jaxon just tried to eat her.

-Ok Hudson’s ex is a crazy person who honestly needs to control her emotions. How are you going to murder that many people to bring back your dead, possibly super evil ex.

-Flint’s crazy too. Good to know.

-Well, Jaxon’s crazy strength and overprotective nature saves the day.

-The snowman thing is pretty cute.

-Yes, perfect. Survive multiple murder attempts and instead go at it head first.

Me either! It was a nice twist on the usual vampire/werewolf style.
