P.A. Ross | 2 comments I just looked at my sales through google books and smashwords for a short story series and they are minimal. So, I am going to unpublish with these people and go KDP in the hope a short story series would get more reads with people having kindle unlimited.

Anyone else tried switching away and gone excusive to kindle.
If so, what happened?

Gail Meath (goodreadscomgail_meath) | 251 comments Hi P.A., I have switched a few books back and forth, yet found both sales and 'pages read' on Kindle Unlimited has been most productive for me.

Have you considered Kindle Vella, a new feature offered by Amazon? I looked into it, but wouldn't work with my full novels. It may be perfect for your short story series, though.

P.A. Ross | 2 comments I heard of Kindle Vella. I haven't looked into however. Thanks for the tip.

I am just wanting for the books to finish unpublising and will see what happens on Kindle. I think people aren't willing to pay for short stories, but I hope KU solves that issue.

I have started with Kindle Unlimited enabled when I self-pubbed almost a year ago. I still am enrolled.
KU has made roughly 50% of my $11 royalties so far.
