Rose | 14 comments I don't really, sorry. I just remember being really creeped out that someone could be made to eat a bird. The description shows her with blood and feathers around her mouth.

Tab (tabbrown) | 5085 comments What do you mean it was "Published with 'Turn of the Shrew?" Was this a book with several stories in them?

Time period/location story takes place?
Part of a series?
Did you read it in the 70s or much later?

message 6: by Rose (new)

Rose | 14 comments Yes, yes, not sure if it was part of a series, I read it in the 70s. Thanks for asking.

The Phantom Fisherboy Tales od Mystery and Magic by Ruth Ainsworth? It looks like it was first published in 1974.

Rose | 14 comments Thanks for the info. That's not the book. The book was something like The Turn of the Screw and Other Tales. I'm looking for a specific story from the book. I describe the story above.
