Someone else mentioned that they collect notebooks they don't use, and I felt that deeply XD I guess I also collect books and don't read them, but I'm trying to work on that. I've not had many pets, much less interesting ones, but my family has a dog that I absolutely love <3
I'm not sure what my favorite book or author is (too many to choose from!), but I'm currently reading Dune by Frank Herbert. Its been on my tbr for forever, and the movie has me motivated haha. My favorite book in the Bible is definitely the Gospel of John (!!! So beautiful!!) This year I've praying with John 14:15-21; verse 18 is a doozy. FYI, for my work/hobby I read a lot of different things (not always clean or consistent with the faith), so tread carefully if you check out my shelves for recs.

Hey Kendra! Ha, I like Barbara Streisand!? I'm 13 btw.

Mary-Therese wrote: "I love Barbra Streisand! I'm currently trying to figure out how to sing 'Don't Rain On My Parade' without my voice cracking at the end XD"
Haha, I can't sing high pitched songs, I can sing fairly low, but going high my voice either cracks or goes off pitch XD

I¡¯m Rine, I¡¯m 22 and I¡¯m French.
I like arts (illustration, ballet, songs, classical music and such).
One of the coolest place I¡¯ve been to is The Old Lyon district. Me and my sister ..."
Such an awesome verse to choose...Amen and welcome :)

My pleasure!
Haha, yep, but I'm good with either! No, it's really easy for me since I'm homeschooled and can devote more time to my college classes rather than having to balance them and high school classes...plus, since I'm at tech school, I'm able to earn my TCC before I even graduate high school! And it's free, soooo... ;) Aw, man, I dunno! If you could, that would be great!
I'll admit, I was that way at first, but the older I've gotten and the more I've read it, the better I understand it! I'd be welcome to share my thoughts with you, if you'd like!
Haha. Well...I'm still a beginner, but I do enjoy it! Aah, glad to know I'm not the only one! XD

I'm in college, so my main hobby is studying. XD When I actually have free time, I love reading (obviously), writing, watching movies, and making playlists.
Three fun facts...hmmm...
1. I'm definitely a listener! I'm very quiet and introverted and am fine spending time alone.
2. I actually haven't had many pets at all because I'm allergic to pretty much anything with fur. I did have a succession of beta fish when I was very young. Because I don't spend much time around them, I've always been a bit afraid of dogs, but within the past few years I've started to like them more and could even see myself owning one in the future (hypo-allergenic, of course).
3. I wouldn't say this is a "fun" fact, but I've lived with multiple chronic illnesses for most of my life. That's a big part of who I am and what I do, but it's also one of the biggest ways I've seen God working in my life.
When people ask me in person what my favorite book is I actually start panicking and can't remember anything I've ever read. XD But since I have a minute to think about it now...I love Pride & Prejudice, Little Women, The Lunar Chronicles, The Codebreakers, and sooooo many others!!
My favorite book of the Bible is probably Esther, but I also love reading the Gospels and learning more about Jesus's life on earth. One verse that has always just really stuck with me is Romans 1:16, although I could definitely make a list of favorites.
Nice to meet you! I love little women and Lunar Chronicles as well! I've never read Codebreakers. What's it about?
I love anything in Romans!
I love anything in Romans!

Oh, goodness. Three fun facts about me? These are always the hardest.
1) My debut novel, "Deceived" (fantasy with a dash of allegory) releases early next year. (I'm already sick with nerves)
2) I love history and consider myself a history nerd.
3) I detest the sea and love the mountains.
My favorite romance author is my mom and my favorite fantasy authors are Jaye L. Knight, Morgan L. Busse, and Gillian Bronte Adams. Favorite book in the Bible is a toss-up between James and the Timothy-s, and the verse I'm clinging to is John 14:27.

I'm learning Japanese, though I can certainly read and write more than I can speak. I find Kanji fascinating - my mom was a calligrapher's daughter, so hearing her explanations and watching the sweep of her characters is so interesting. I'm much more of a listener :) My proudest accomplishment... hahaha, well, I work as a waitress at a fairly well-to-do retirement home, where we have to dress up fancy, including ties. It's a trivial matter, but when I watched a YouTube video on how to tie a tie, and then did it beautifully (my dad said, haha) on the first try, that certainly felt like a moment to be proud of. Now you guys who do that all the time go have a good laugh :)
I collect books. My biggest fear is that I would waste my life instead of living for the Kingdom. Some of my favorite words (because it's so hard to pick one) are: Silence, Radiance, Luminous, Ethereal, Scintillating, and Hippopotomonstrosesquipedaliophobia. Unfortunately, I don't own a pet.
I have too many favorite books... If you want to find my top eleven (fiction), you'll find there here: /review/list...
Favorite authors? J.R.R. Tolkien, Jane Austen, Paul Washer, Nadine Brandes, John Piper, Irene Hunt, A.A. Milne.
I don't have a lot of "least favorite"... but I didn't like The Choice, by Nicholas Sparks. And Animal Farm had such a depressing ending, it was hard to appreciate how good it really is.
Favorite books in the Bible are 2 Corinthians, Galatians, Romans, Ezekiel, Habakkuk, and Philippians (among others).
If I have to stick to one passage of Scripture, it would have to be either Philippians 3:7-14 or 2 Corinthians 4:16-18 (oops, that was two).
It's lovely to meet the rest of you. Thanks, Lily, for setting this up!

Welcome Libby!! We share some of the same interests! Is Japanese pretty hard to learn?

I love anything in Romans!"
Nice to meet you too! The Codebreakers is a historical fiction trilogy by Roseanna M. White. Basically, it follows a group of people who worked for a secret government organization in the UK during WWII. They are kind of dramatic though (not nearly as fun as something like TLC XD).

u seem really cool, nice to meet u!

Yeah, it's mostly a fun thing. I usually just design book covers, but sometimes I'll do bookmarks, logos, websites for the fun of it, really just about anything.
Hahahahaha, well, I could start a rock band collection. XD Lol, yeah, I don't collect rocks as much as I used to, but I think I've gathered a pretty good collection. ;)
*cough, cough* Maaaaybe. But even though I'm not my own number one fan, at least other people sorta like what I write?? You'll have to ask my betas to confirm if they do or don't. XDD
Awww I'm SO glad!!!!
OF COURSE!!! I AM SUUPER excited to see where this goes!!! We've needed a Christian fantasy forum for a while. ;P (Aww, girl, that's TOTALLY okay. Definitely take your time, but keep me updated. :) )

I'm a collector of basically everything. Music CDs, trading cards, I have like a hundred Star Wars action figures. Like I said, everything.
I'm the self published author of eight books.
I'm a dog person with the disposition of a cat.
My favorite author is going to have to be Janette Rallison, but I'm also a huge fan of J.R.R. Tolkien, Jennifer A. Nielsen, and Mary Weber. My least favorite author is Rick Riordan. And my favorite book of the Bible is Psalms.

omg... i love jennifer neilson tooooo!!!!

welcome btw ;)

Agreed!!!

Hey, so nice to meet you, Pianissimo :) I grew up hearing Japanese quite often, so I don't find it difficult when I apply myself... which I don't always ? The hardest thing is probably learning all the kanji characters, and for me, speaking fluently. As sentences get more complex, it's harder for me to pick out the meanings. Do you speak any other languages?

³õ¤á¤Þ¤·¤Æ¡£¤è¤í¤·¤¯¤ªÔ¸¤¤¤·¤Þ¤¹¡£
I'm so happy to meet you, Ella! I'm afraid I'm not very fluent... but I would love to try and talk with you in ÈÕ±¾ÕZ :) Thanks for reaching out!
