Sawako, are you making a guess?
I've added a bit more information to the first message that might help with confusion. You need to get a letter or letters from the book you just finished reading.

The 'K' was a good letter to ask for, Alex! Unfortunately, you can only use the first word of the title. Maybe you can use the 'A' from Andre once we hear back from Sawako.

Sorry, Lanelle. I didn't get it the first time. I haven't read books yet. I'll get back when I do finish reading one. Thanks!

No problem. It helped me realize that I needed to clarify the instructions :)
Alex, I'm going to assume you want the 'A' from Andre.

You are supposed to guess the entire quote.
Donna wrote: "Has anyone solved it?"
Nope. Not yet.
Donna wrote: "Would you tell everyone or just the winner? "
I will tell everyone when the puzzle is solved.
Donna wrote: "Hang the head for just the one person or everyone?"
For everyone. This is a group effort.
For each wrong letter guessed, I will hang a body part. I've hung the head. There are 5 more body parts to go. If I've hung the whole body before someone correctly guesses the quote, I win and we start over.

Let's use the books we have read to play PDR's Hangman.
This is an ongoing game that anyone can play. Jump in at any time to request a letter, but you have to have asked for at least one letter in order to make a guess at the puzzle.
You can use up to three letters from your book. The first letter of the title (use or ignore 'a', 'an', 'the'), and the author's first and last name.
examples:
to ask for a P, J, and A- Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
to ask for a T (or I), H, and W - The Invisible Man by H.G. Wells
No page limit.
For anthologies, go by the editor's name.
You must have finished your book after the puzzle was posted.
