Love is in the air!

For February's challenge, read books with hearts on the cover or "heart" in the title. A few examples:
Molly (Sewing in SoCal, #1) by Sarah Monzon When Calls the Heart (Canadian West, #1) by Janette Oke Paper Hearts by Courtney Walsh

Here's are the levels:
1-2 Getting acquainted
3-5 Going steady
6-8 Head over heels in love
9+ Tying the knot

Who's in for this challenge?

message 2: by Katrina (new)

Katrina Lybbert | 865 comments I'm in!

I have one book planned for February that fits this category, so I will try for Getting Acquainted. Maybe I will find a second book too!

message 9: by Andrea, Hospitality Coordinator (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 5999 comments Mod
No, I don’t, actually. I know I have a heart title, but it’s escaping my memory at the moment. I should have time this evening to search for it.

message 10: by Georgann (new)

Georgann I'm in for getting acquainted. I found two on my TBR list, but one is book one of a series and I'm so far lost in series I have started and never finished, I don't want to choose it.

Steadfast Heart (Brides of Seattle, #1) by Tracie Peterson The Heart of a Cowboy (Colorado Cowboys, #2) by Jody Hedlund
Finished both as well as My Stubborn Heart by Becky Wade

Enjoyed all of them, but especially looking forward to the third in the series later this year To Tame a Cowboy (Colorado Cowboys, #3) by Jody Hedlund

Snuck in one more by reading The Lady and the Lionheart by Joanne Bischof again love this book!

Silly me. I'm actually reading one right now that will work. I doubt I finish it before February starts, so it'll count.

Inkheart (Inkworld, #1) by Cornelia Funke

Actually, I'm not going to finish To Steal a Heart. I'm not a fan of stories featuring domineering women who run over men and then blame the men of being domineering (when they were only being polite gentlemen).

So I'll read a different heart book instead. I think I have a few options in my massive TBR. ;)

I'm reading a second heart book (have both currently going right now, so neither is yet finished)...

The Lady of Galway Manor by Jennifer Deibel

There's a small heart in the Claddagh symbol beneath the title on the cover.

Andrea

thanks for pointing that out. I thought I hadn't read a book with a heart on it. But I just finished The Lady of Galway Manor.

message 48: by Carissa (last edited Feb 21, 2022 10:25AM) (new)

Carissa | 468 comments 1. The Lady of Galway Manor by Jennifer Deibel -thank you Claddagh symbol on the cover.

I didn't think I was going to have a book for this challenge. Because every book I picked up that had either a heart on it or in the title I ended up DNFing. expect The Lady of Galway Manor.
2. A mainstream Rom Com. I don't want to list the title or the cover, because it's mainstream and has some language and steamy scenes.

message 49: by Loraine (new)

Loraine (librarydiva) | 4420 comments I finished a second heart book that was really heartbreaking. I don't read much non-fiction but this one is about 8 women who live in non-Christian countries or government control religion countries. Each of them were Christian witnesses and went through horrendous times for their witness.
Hearts of Fire Eight Women in the Underground Church and Their Stories of Costly Faith by The Voice of the Martyrs
