Wow just wow! I saw this book on my fb pages recommendation and it's really good! A lot of twist and turns in the story. it's a wild ride as go through every chapter. But the last chapter was a big reveal! Idk maybe it's because of my job but I can really understand the extent of the mental disorder mentioned in this book. Character's POV was on point. Maybe it's because the author is new or what but it is clearly noticed in the way she writes, there's always room for improvement for every writer. But overall it's a 4.5/5 for me.

If you're into psychological thrillers, serial killer, dark and twisted, suspense, and mental disorder kind of reader then you should read this book. But be mindful in reading books if you have triggers!

This was such a quick read! One of my fav author is Kiersten Modglin in psychological thriller, exceptional in writing books with twisty, unpredictable, suspense and engaging stories. However, the scenes in this book is not that heavy compare to her other books, they were quite realistic and probably be happening in real life. (view spoiler) I do like the characters in this book, the gaslighting and cheater "Joe", "Edith" a strong character that survived the cheating husband and gets her befitting revenge, and the best side character, the supportive and always on the go "Dan".

But, overall this is a 4/5 for me.

If you're into psychological thriller type of reader, you should add this to your TBR!

idk why I didn't read this before but this book is one of the promising series I've read. it's not only focus on the cliche YA fantasy genre but it also speaks on some real issues of society such as racism, gender criticism, trauma, oppression, culture, ancestry and dealing with grief (as a Therapist in real life it is rare for YA fantasy to tackle such topics, and I love how the MC deals with the lost of a parent.). This book is wholesome!

Will surely wait for the next book!

If you're into YA Fantasy, this book is highly recommended!

Fav Quotes:
"Don't make your life about the loss. Make it about the love.

"The most important thing you can do in this world, the most necessary thing, is to survive it. You can't do anything for anyone else if you don't take care of yourself first.

Some truths only tragedy can teach. The first one I learned is that when people acknowledge your pain, they want your pain to acknowledge them back. They need to witness it in real time, or else you're not doing your part.

I find this book interesting. It's a bit funny actually (view spoiler)and it has a compelling aura that will keep you reading chapter by chapter. The storyline is predictable but if you're into chill and quick read, and magical realism then you should read this book. But overall, it's a 3.5/5 for me.

Some of my fave lines on the book
- "Yes, I am sad. So what? People don’t always get what they want."
- "I come back because this is the best you. I like you much this way. Other times you are different. Not so nice. This you is the best you.
- "Many strange things in life cannot be explained. It is that way now, and it has always been that way."

Burn Down, Rise Up is a creepy, suspenseful, mysterious and with a bit of supernatural. I really enjoyed reading this book, characters are relatable (I like how the MC grow from start to end), twisty action and adventure of the MC and her friends to save Francisco and Charlize, the real friendship between Raquel and Aaron and their love for the Bronx!

As I read (or listen since I got the audiobook) through it, I keep relating it to our society nowadays, It takes one to stand up for the rotten society. Stand up to stop issues such as racism, gender discrimination and sexual orientation. We need one like Raquel who represent all to stand up and stop the rotten minds of some.

This is such a fast paced book, I sometimes get confused with some details in the story and writing is sometimes flat. But overall, my rating for this book is a 4.0/5.

Thank you NetGalley and Publisher for giving me an advance copy for this book!

Peter Pan is a classic, timeless adventure, and a magical world I've known as a child. However, The Never King is a dark, twisted version of Neverland. This book is interesting I kinda like the changes that makes it darker and different from the original story. Characters are mysterious in their own way. (Vane is intruiging. And the Twins!) The ending was a surprised and definitely a cliffhanger! Can't wait to get my hands with 2nd book!

If you're into dark romance, reversed harem and twisted fairytale then I would recommend this book. However, be mindful in reading books if you have trigger warnings. This is not a fairytale you expect to. It comes with intense sex scene and cruelty. But, overall I'll rate this book with a 4.0/5.

I've been planning to read this series before Netflix but just got the time now before watching it. This is so good and Charlie and Nick is so cute together.

So like this first book is more on their first meeting and how their feelings developed as they hang out more often. I like that they both let each other open up and how Charlie let Nick be exposed to his hobby and same with Nick to Charlie. It's a short graphic novels but definitely a page turner!

Aces Wild: A Heist is a young adult, bit thriller, and an LGBTQ+. It's a wild ride with a crew of asexual in Las Vegas. The first thing that got me reading this book was casinos, illegal gambling, and the heist. The first few chapter was exciting but I was expecting more of a Heist thingy. The revelation at the end was a bit expected but was a bit confused with some scenes. Writing was good, I like the humor and the MC's narration. Overall, I'll rate this book 3.5/5

My name is Jack Shannon, and this is not a love story. It’s a confession.

Some of my fave lines in the book:
- The coward’s way out, but that’s why social media was invented. To fulfill social obligations without having to actually speak to anyone.
-Work smart, not hard. If they won’t give it to you, then take it. Don’t let a challenge go unanswered
- All it takes is a little bit of money and a lot of sense to be dangerous,
- That was the thing about bad decisions. Once you got to like the taste of them, it was hard to stop.
- Just don’t look so hard toward the future that you forget the people you want in it.

My Mechanical Romance is an adorable dual POV rom-com. This book is so much better than what I expected. This was a very wholesome read.

"If I want the world to recognize what I am truly capable of, I have to show them."

My Mechanical Romance is a YA read about Bel, an artsy, unmotivated high school senior who inadvertently reveals an aptitude for physics when a Macgyvered school assignment lands her on her school’s highly competitive combat robotics team. Her design capabilities catch the interest of the school’s heartthrob and team captain Teo. (hello, academic rivals to lovers!)

you don't have to make the world perfect just so people will love you.

What I like about this book is the highlight on the challenges of being a female in a male dominated field was such a good accost. It also tackles some serious issues including a child/siblings that were hurt and torn between a divorced parents. (okay, also that some Filipino terms was used in the book!) Overall, I'll rate this book 4/5.

Omg! Omg!
Volume 2 is too much! So many kilig moments!
If volume 1 is about how charlie and nick meet and mostly about them. Volume 2 is about them and their surroundings basically. Their family and friends reaction. And Nick's coming out! Its when nick was introduced to charlie's friend and vice versa, and their friend's reaction as well as their family especially Nick's mom! I cant wait to read volume 3. Im guessing challenges will come their way!

OMG! I really love Heartstopper!
Volume 3 is more serious than the other volume, it is more on getting to know each other deeper like emotionally (how they feel and started to share deeper secret like how Charlie try to cut himself when he feels so down.) I like this volume because it takes a lot of Nick's courage to tell about himself to other people. And the struggle of Charlie to tell about them to his bff Tao. Also, who doesn't love a summer field trip to PARIS? like hello? There's also more lovers that came out in this volume. So yeah! Planning to read the next volume.

tw: Eating Disorder, Self Harm, Mental illness

Volume 4 is very different from other volume, this is way serious than volume 3. It has the best representation of what eating disorder is and its symptoms. The best thing about Charlie's disorder is that he was able to asked for help because most cases are in denial about mental health, and that his family and friends are super supportive! It really is a must read volume! Can't wait foe Volume 5!! This is so much better than I expected!

A book for book lovers indeed!!

Book Lovers is quick romance read about Nora an agent for books and a loving and supportive sister for Libby and her family. Also Charlie an editor and a bookstore owner in Sushine Falls. What i love about this book is that it has many book quotes from other books and also their book recommendations is great. I like how Emily Henry's antagonists in her novels are just the coping mechanisms and feelings the main characters have in response to the childhood trauma. Although, i feel like the whole time i was reading it i was waiting for something to impress me like some wow moments but yeah it also kinda like "beach read" another book of hers. But overall, i'll give this book a 4.0/5

The Travelling Cat Chronicles is a bittersweet and poignant novel. I never thought I'd love reading from a cat's perspective so much. I love this book! Too much emotion in just 288 pages! I'm not a cat lover myself but Nana's attitude and perspective is so funny and on point! Also the backstory of the characters are realistic and their friendship with Saturo is definitely a goal even though they don't see each other much but when it is in time of needs they always got each other's back! I'll rate this book a 5/5!

"As we count up the memories from one journey, we head off on another. remembering those who went ahead. remembering those who will follow after. and someday, we will meet all those people again, out beyond the horizon"

The Book of Cold Cases is a thriller and horror book by Simone St James. It's an alternating narration and alternating timeline of 1977 and 2017. Shea and Beth has experienced childhood trauma that disrupt their current lives. This traumas involved murder and spookiness that both character experienced. The best thing about the story is that they both help each other to survive and face their reality.

It is a slow read for me maybe because I keep rereading since some scenes are confusing and plot twist are kinda predictable. Also maybe I just love his other book and expected too much from this one lol. It also reminds me of "The Seven Husband of Evelyn Hugo" book, an interview and a book about life of a famous character. one famous character and the other a writer. But overall I loved the way the secrets were discovered and I'm intruiged about the next family living in Greer's mansion. I'll rate this book 4.0/5.

In the Shadow of a Wish takes you into a world filled with magic, love, and sacrifice. A heart-rending story of Aurielle, the key keeper who fell in love with a god and Nixus, the god of darkness who was trapped in a spell. The story and concept felt original and the introduction of the book will hooked you into reading and will compel you to finished the book. Maci Aurora did a great job in retelling the story of the golden key. The wishes and obligations are facinating and well thought. It reminds me of Genie and Aladdin.

I love that Auri, is a strong feminist character who wants to make the world better for herself and her family. And that Nix, is a lovable villain. I never expected that I would loved their romantic love story that gets steamy as you read the book. Can't wait for the book two, though I still believe that Auri is also a Goddess like Nix. I also appreciate that trigger warning was mentioned at the beginning of the book so that readers will be prepared mentally.

Thank you Netgalley and to Mixed Plate Press for the advanced copy. I totally loved this one! I'll rate this book a 4.0/5.

The Woman in the Library is definitely a mind blowin book. A novel featuring a mystery writer writing about a mystery writer writing a novel. An unexpectedly twisty story of four people who meet in the library because of an unidentified scream. Each characters are fascinating even Hannah and Leo's characters in which the writer of a certain mystery thriller book.

I love how witty the author of this book even i was confused at first how much more as a writer right? I love how creative and original the plot is. It will really open your imagination and you can't keep second guessing who really is the killer of the story. Even i thought it Cain at first, then comes leo's revelation, then Marigold's stalking and reseaching skills, and here come Whit who had all the connections to the murdered people just like Cain. It's fun guessing who really is the killer!

Truely thankful to NetGalley and to publisher for giving me an advance copy of this book. I'll definitely rate it 5.0/5

The House Across the Lake was entertaining with crazy twist at the end. It started with how the MC drink herself away in a vacation house in Lake Greene due to husband's death, nosy mother and tabloid paparazzi. Other characters were introduced to keep us guessing who's who until the big revelations at the end. It shows how the MC fights for what she believed is the answer at the moment and got her hands dirtied. Idk if I agree with the ending but the story is well-plotted with a dual narrative of MC's now and later perspective. It was a fun thriller read and i'll rate it with 4.0/5.

Forging Silver into Stars is a fantasy book about two kingdoms becoming one after decades of war with wary and confused people that hates the magic of their King, one of them are the childhood friends named Jax and Callyn at Briarlock.

How the magic started, the story behinds Callyn's mother, Aleck's POV at the end and so much more! Can't wait for the next book! I'll rate the book 4.0/5.

Tell No One is a wholesome thriller book with a lot of layers of suspense and mystery. Harlan Coben's books never dissapoint! All good stuff in this book, the purest love of Beck and Elizabeth that even behind all the untold secrets between them, the trust and love was really amazing!

The unexpected plot twist, secrets, betrayal and killings. The character build up was good. You wouldn't expect the revelations at the end, the selfless sacrifices of each characters. This is definitely a good read for me. I also like that every character has their own POV, it helps me better understand them and the situation. I'ts a 5/5 for me without question. I highly recommend Harlan Coben's books!

The side characters has also good back story!

Its kinda slow at first but as the family secrets was revealed, it will compel you to finished the book. The turns of events was unexpected but no "wow" moment for me from the books ending but twas a good read. Its a 3.5/5.

Love on the Brain is definitely a must read! If you read The Love Hypothesis this is kinda similar with the enemies to lovers feels, the chapter 16 moments but the spiciness of this book is on another level! This book is about Bee, a neuroscientist who works on NIH and recently transferred to NASA to work on a project with her long time achenemesis, Levi, an engineer who co-leads with Bee on a much interesting project of their life.

What I love about this book is that it gives you informations to think about, I’m also kinda science person and I can relate much to Bee but not up to a nerdy level though lol. I even started searching about Marie Curie-Pierre on which Bee is obsessed with. Levi is definitely the ideal boyfriend we all wish we have lol that loyalty, patients and his love for Bee! Ughh my heart I cannot But totally love the story and the characters oh and yeah I love and so much appreciate the witty and cute chapter title Without doubt it’s a 5/5 for me!

Sophie's adventure towards Howl's castle is so fun and interesting to read! the side characters has great backstory which I also like about this book. The character build up is so gooooood! and the plot is great. I would definitely reread it someday and will highly recommend it! I will rate this book a 5/5.

Mirror, Mirror! My first Disney twisted tale book and I really enjoyed it! It's the classic Snow White and the seven Dwarfs story with a twist! It brings me back to my childhood as I read the book. It's one of my fave princess back then. What I like in this book is that in reminds me of Snow White's adventure and how she found the dwarfs, also the backstory of the Evil Queen (I know we all have read more Evil Queen backstories) her childhood and how she owned the magical mirror, also how the Magical Mirror influenced the Evil Queen.

It was creative and enjoyable! Will definitely read the other Disney twisted tale! I'll rate this book a 4/5
