"Bride of the Sea" by Eman Quotah (Key word: SEA)
Completed - Rating: 4 stars - I really enjoyed glimpsing into another culture. I found this to be a fast read but the ending a bit rushed.
"I Love You but I've Chosen Darkness" by Claire Vaye Watkins (Key word: YOU)
This might be a DNF - I'm struggling to get through this book and am currently at 43%. I'm not one to give up on a book but I fall asleep every time I try to sit down with this book...seems to pages drag on forever with no reason to continue.

Last night I finished Thought I Knew You by Kate Moretti. A 3*** read for me.
Sea, YOU, Hate, Perfect, Shade, Until, Beach, Little
This month, I plan to read Thought I Knew You by Kate Moretti.
The Order of the Pure Moon Reflected in Water
I chose the word "sea" and used the synonym "water" for my keyword this month.
This is a novella about some bandits and a nun who must join forces to protect an ancient spiritual relict. I really enjoyed it.
UPDATE: I enjoyed this one. It's a short read and I thought it was a decent story- nothing too amazing imo.

Key Word: Little
Challenge Complete
A novel of a brave and wise 10 year old searching for his father. I liked the multiple voices/perspectives from which the story is told.

Word used: You
Book: After You Fell by J.S. Lark
A slow burn, but an original plot line, and overall enjoyed it.

Word: You
I've Got My Eyes On You by Mary Higgins Clark
Highly recommend if you like a book full of suspense that will keep those pages turning.

June: Sea, You, Hate, Perfect, Shade, Until, Beach, Little
BEACH
The Inn At Pelican Beach Michele Gilcrest 6/3/22
Beach House Romance Cora Seton 6/5/22
I enjoyed both of these books!

A Darker SHADE of Magic by VE Schwab
It was alright. I mostly listened to the audiobook. I definitely enjoyed it more when I was reading it myself. The audio made everything sound silly and not very serious. The narrators change for the second and third installment so maybe I’ll give them a try.
Challenge complete!
Keyword: You
Book: And What Can We Offer You Tonight by Premee Mohamed. I didn't love it unfortunately although the premise of the story is interesting - a courtesan comes back from the dead (we still don't know why) and starts exacting revenge. I just didn't care for the writing style.

1) Bookshop by the Sea by Denise Hunter
2) CHALLENGE COMPLETE
3) I picked this for a road trip with my mom. We actually met the author on that trip. This was a first book by the author. The title drew us in.
