Please make sure you read all rules for any game before joining in. You may have seen this or another game played elsewhere on GoodReads or another site, but every group tends to put their own spin on a game. For example, this being a mystery group, we ask that all titles be kept within the mystery genre.
** This is a twist on the word wraparound game.
** Two words are posted, and the next person needs to post a word that starts with the last two letters of both words to form a new compound word or phrase.
For example, if I typed "health inspector" you would post two words, one that starts with "TH" and one that starts with "OR"--"thirsty orangutan" or "thirty oranges." Try to have the phrase make sense. Something like "thimble ornery" wouldn't work.
** If the last two letters don't make any English dictionary words, then drop the last letter and use the two letters before it. For example, with LYNX, you'd first drop the X and go with YN. If for some reason that didn't have any dictionary words (it doesn't), then you'd drop the last letter again, and try LY.
** Make sure you are on the current (last) page of play before taking a turn.
** Remember to look at the last several entries to make sure someone hasn’t missed a page change or skipped another player.
