Truitt_T | 801 comments To help me figure out what to read next, I complied a list:

Still needed for May Mini:

E - 9
O - 4
R - 4
I - 3
L - 3
A - 2
M - 2
N - 2
T - 2
C - 1

Poetry in text
Writer MC
A celebration in the book
Musical instrument on cover
Characters attend musical performance
Letters CLD in title of the book

I decided since I'd done it for myself, I might as well share. Of course, it won't be accurate for long....

message 254: by Kate S (new)

Kate S | 1998 comments I took the easy route. I plugged my library books into the first open Muse task into which they fit. It does not look like we are doing completion posts, so it may be helpful to know which tasks are harder/less easy to fill. The book I am starting tomorrow, I have put into task 1 (spell it out T), but the MC is a writer and there is poetry strewn throughout. Vowels have historically been difficult, but we may have all found our own vowel characters/authors to combat this.

message 255: by Vaidehi (new)

Vaidehi | 228 comments That's the thing - sometimes there is a book that fits to so many tasks and then sometimes, when we need a book for that one task, it will make us crazy but won't be found... hahahah

I have had some tough times~~~ (sobs)

I would say the non-letter tasks are harder than the letter ones.

Feel free to move your books to any open task as you all see fit.

Yea it's pretty amazing. I know nothing about Chinese mythology. So although this is a retelling, to me it was more like a regular fantasy novel. It's completely action packed. I could hardly fathom the fact that it was all just one book. For a debut novel it's really well written. I am excited to get through the 2nd installment.

The book is marked as Read but is missing a date. Could you add a date read when you get a chance? Thank you!

Truitt_T | 801 comments Hey Judith -

I need a librarian's help.

The current Kindle edition of Naked Once More by Elizabeth Peters is listed on GR as having 300 pages. Amazon has it at a more appealing 372 pages.

Any change we can get an update?

Thanks!

I just finished The Mask of Mirrors and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Though you'd have to like slow builds and political intrigue of many layers, which isn't everyone's cuppa. But I'm much looking forward to the next book in the series.

Truitt,

In case you didn't see the DQs are up for the backroom BOM. Your section (Day 1) is chapters 1 to 8. Hopefully that's about what you'd guessed on your own.

I just saw this - thanks! I'll tweak my questions a bit tonight.

Btw, may I earn points for both writing DQs and answeing them for the same book?

I thanks for passing on the page update request - I appreciate it.

Yes for BOMs points are additive.

So you'll get page points, task points (if used for a task), DQ writing, and BOM participation points (if you respond to at least 3 question sets).

If you participate and write a set of DQs, that is 60 points added on top of the page & task points.

Truitt,

For characters, yes all are okay. For authors if there is an editor who compiled everything than you can only use the editor.

Otherwise you should be able to use any author.

For title, you can also use A so I put it in spot 48. The articles can either be ignored or used. I tend to ignore them and then sometimes forget they are options.

Sure thing~
I just finished that book and if I could, i would like to throw the book out of the window. But we need the page number for the challenge.

The book has so many letters in it - characters, author, and title. We can move it anywhere...

Just an FYI -

On the book tab of the Tracking Sheet.

Periodically rows with books logged onto the main sheet will be hidden. With the number of books that will be read over the course of the challenge, it makes that tab more manageable.

But don't worry, nothing is being deleted :)

Die for Love, which I've got at #7 - MPG Humor, also works for #45. If Chins Could Kill: Confessions of a B Movie Actor, which I have at #84 - CDL in Title, also works for #7.

What I'm trying to say is that I've got calls for other Challenges today and I'll look for a book that's MPG Humor or CDL in title so I can swap things around and cover #45 - Poetry in Text.

Unless someone else covers it first. :)

True! I have another lined up to read that's called [book:The Cello Suites
, but I haven't added that to the list yet. I assume at some point he goes to concert. :-)

There's just so many ways to mix and match everything! Outlander also has the musical performance.

Okay, this is really weird.

When I click on your TT shelf. It shows "no date" under Date Read and "May 18" under Date Added. But if I click on 'view' to see your status for the book it shows you finished reading it on May 18.

WTH? That is really strange. . . .thank you GR gremlins.

I did some minor shuffling on the tracking sheet and added mini tasks to everyone reading Wildfire for the backroom BOM. That doesn't have a ton of letter options so I wanted to make sure we could get them to fit.

Right now there are 8 unclaimed spots, one of which will go to Truitt's anthology.

Letters unclaimed:
N: need 1 (35)
R: need 4 (41,67,74,81)
I: need 2 (59,77)
O: need 1 (80)

As we keep adding books, some of them are hidden at the top of the sheet. You can reveal them by clicking on the arrows. I checked, Rebecca, and your Travelling Cat Chronicles with a completion date of 18 May is still there. :)
