Including the excluded ones, I read 25 of these (well, 24: I am currently reading American Rust by Meyer, which has spent more than 10 years on my TBR shelf). I don't have too many left on the TBR shelf this month:
- Song of Solomon (Morrison)
- Pnin (Nabokov)
I'm open for other choices, as long as they're not Munro or Murakami (read them all), and Murdoch (not a fan).

I've read 26 of these. I've not read any Lorrie Moore. I also haven't read Henry Miller. Others that I can find include The Sound of Waves, Inland, and Ada. I haven't read Sputnik Sweetheart.

-Crossfire
-The Bell,
-The Black Prince
-Romantics
-Family Matters
-Max Havelaar
-The Holder of the World
-News from Nowhere
-The Time of Indifference
-Southern Seas
am open to any of them

2 books excluded from the randomiser they are:
Cloud Atlas
Lolita

I have read Song of Solomon and Pnin. Of Amanda's list I could go for The Holder of the World, News from Nowhere, or The Time of Indifference.

Anyone else want to vote for one of these and have a preference?

The highest up in my to-read list: Murdoch's The Bell; farther on: Beggar Maid, Ada, Kafka on the Shore and The Bluest Eye.
Since Kristel and Gail have both favored Ada I'm inclined to vote for that, but Gail says it's not her first choice and Amanda said she plans to vote for another one.
What do you think I should vote for?

However I will vote for News from Nowhere. I know shamefully little about William Morris except being familiar with his designs from my parents' wallpaper, upholstery and curtains growing up, and I've never been to Kelmscott despite living only 25 miles away. Perhaps this will be an incentive.

I will keep that in mind, probably will be yours

I can do that if enough people are interested.

I believe that there are others that are interested in reading Tropic of Capricorn and I can find a audio version on Hoopla so probably would join depending on time.

In a minor miracle, I haven't read either and should probably secure both before September. I cannot recall the last time I have been able to read both BOTMs in consecutive months.

I'll host it then.
My library hold of A Gate at the Stairs arrived super early so I can host if no-one else wants to

Did you want to moderate this one? A buddy read?
