Julie M (woolyjooly) | 311 comments I finished reading Raymie Nightingale by "beloved" children's author, Kate DiCamillo, a Newberry award winner, MN Book Award winner (among others) and a treasure who lives in St. Paul. Quirky and unpredictable plots and not-always-cheerful or upbeat kids tho stubborn and well intentioned) made this story a delightful change for me, from the barrage of sad histories I've been reading lately. I'm sending this book to my 8-y.o. grand niece for Christmas.

Julie M (woolyjooly) | 311 comments oh so good! "I Must Betray You" by Ruth S. Sad, too, but historical fiction worth reviewing for every adult reader who lived through the fall of communism.
