I finished reading Raymie Nightingale by "beloved" children's author, Kate DiCamillo, a Newberry award winner, MN Book Award winner (among others) and a treasure who lives in St. Paul. Quirky and unpredictable plots and not-always-cheerful or upbeat kids tho stubborn and well intentioned) made this story a delightful change for me, from the barrage of sad histories I've been reading lately. I'm sending this book to my 8-y.o. grand niece for Christmas.

Started reading White Dog Fell from the Sky and going to finish listening to Remarkably Bright Creatures I've read the latter before and when I discovered that Michael Urie narrated the audio version, I had to listen, but, before I got finished, it was due back at the library.
