The other thread was getting a bit long - time for a fresh start!

The last read I completed (as far as I was concerned - I usually don't read every story in an online magazine) was Apex Magazine Issue 121. These online magazines have lead me to a new love - fantasy or science fiction short stories. In the short story form, I'm a big fan of Alix E. Harrow (although I didn't enjoy the novel I had read of hers.

I just finished Convenience Store Woman It doesn't have a great average rating on GR but I really liked it. I might just edit my review on GR as I think my enjoyment may have been enhanced by the translation. Generally any (originally) Japanese language books I have read have seemed detached & a bit stiff, so I thought that must be the writing style. But this book had a warm natural flow.
