Carolyn | 2041 comments The Blood Road (Logan McRae #11) by Stuart MacBride The Blood Road is another excellent addition to Stuart MacBride's Logan MacRae series, dark and gritty and not for the faint hearted, superbly narrated by Stuart Worsley.

Easy to read, quirky and with a sense of hope, exactly what I was in the mood for.

Carolyn | 2041 comments Unnatural Ends by Christopher Huang Unnatural Ends by Christopher Huang is an unusual murder mystery set in the 1920s, where a murdered man who is father to three adopted children stipulates in his will that his estate will go to the one who solves his murder.

Carolyn | 2041 comments The last couple of episodes in Patricia Gibney's DI Lottie Parker series have been excellent but this 12th in the series felt overcomplicated to me and the premise weak, although I do seem to be an outlier in this.
