Ok guys, I have been really into poetry at the moment so I say lets do a contest. we haven't had one of those. So on this chat post your poems and either me or our amazing head moderator will have a poll up shorty so you can vote. YAY POETRY!!!!! Happy Writing

So here is a poem I have written entitled "One Window"

"One Window"
One window is all I need,
To see my missed opportunities,
To soar like an eagle flying and free,
To watch them walk out right in front of me,
To let them go without a goodbye,
To soar back down from a moonlit sky,
One window to see what life could have been,
If you hadn't run out before my clock rang ten,
What wouldn't I give for one window to see,
Why, oh why you would choose to leave me,
And although you are fading form my memory,
I know you will remain in my heart, forever, with me.

oh I almost forgot about a due date I say maybe about the end of march, 31st maybe? I know it can be hard to write poetry so try your best.

"Remembering"

Faded green slide dripping water,
Empty swings tangled together.
Now all soggy, tired, cold,
Laughter, shouts, they no longer hold.
The sun is hidden, the fields are bare,
Cold, wet wind brushes through my hair.
A simple scene from years gone by,
Haunted by a quiet sigh.
Forgotten? Impossible! Never!
But now watch the scene and remember,
Nothing ever lasts forever.

Here is my poem, not very good though.

Night

Summer is coming no more humming from the wolves of the night
Love is stirring the lovers are singing to the sound of the night
Birds are singing the nests are tweeting with the sounds of the babes from the night
Oh how the sound of the night is coming from all different ways
The time has come for night to become day

Oh nice your really good (speaking to all of you) oh and if you don't recognize me thats because I am new here (invited by myself) so hello!

Okay this totally sucks and I am not sure if you can call it a 'true poem' but I did it for fun (It is about me by the way)

Lover of Books, gates to lands of pleasure
Lover of Wolves, kind,gentle,and loving
Lover of Rain, silver droplets of happiness

Who feels witty when my friends aren't careful with their words
Who feels determined when I can’t have something I need
Who feels joyful when there's no homework

Who fears sharp pointy needles when going to the doctor
Who fears losing all my family
Who fears Questioning life to much

Who would like to see world peace
Who would like to see me going to college
Who would like to pet a wolf

I made another one because it was supposed to be for a friend, and I decided to add it here also. It kinda sucks but I think I did better than before.

"I'm so sorry"

I never thought she take it that way,
Until your heart then started to sway,
You then started to drift away,
Never meant to hurt you,
I never even knew,
Until she said you were feeling blue,
Trapped in guilt for eternity,
I believe I'll never be free,
So I ask you to forgive me.

Pumpkin Pie:

Sweet and full of flavor
Like a good movie playing
On the screen of life
Well food can be that feeling
Pie of the fall season
Can heal those needed
Given as a present

Pulling you toward the ending
Upward in the level
Making a difference
Pushing to finish more
Killing your taste buds
Interesting eating
New piece coming

Pies are amazing to see
Inside, even better
Eating it is like WOW

That is what makes the pie
Of the fall season special
In it's own way kind of
Like a secret message
That is listed above
Probably did not notice
Since you are grabbing
A piece right now

I figure since she has been gone ocean can post a poem for the contest she is in the poll now
