Hello everyone! I look forward to reading and reviewing as many action/adventure books as possible in the upcoming months. I especially like adventure sagas that are full of action and transport you to someplace exotic or out of the ordinary. Some of my favorite authors are Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child, Robert Crais, and Bernard Cornwell, to name just a few. I'm also a fledgling author and would like to present two of my Action/Adventure books for you to consider.
The first is HARD BARK, which I recently published. Amazon; .A young couple leaves behind their secure nine-to-five jobs with an American advertising firm to find themselves. After answering an advertisement for volunteer positions at a remote Eco-retreat, they take a leap of faith and head off to the Honduran jungle. Once they arrive at the settlement known as Casa Selva (Jungle House), Ryan and Ana find that nothing is as it seems. What secrets are Chara and Enzo, the strange and eccentric founders of Casa Selva, hiding? Thus begins a harrowing course of events, with truly life or death consequences. Aided by their new friend, a giant Australian named Molar, Ana and Ryan must make decisions that will alter their lives forever. Laced with lies and deception, ruthless cartels, blackmail, drug wars, corrupt government officials, blood feuds, and murder, and set against the mysterious backdrop of the deadly La Mosquitia jungle, Hard Bark is a fast-paced action adventure thriller with an undercurrent of darkness.
The second is Buried Schemes. Amazon: 5.0 out of 5 stars A fantastic adventure! Reviewed in the United States on February 13, 2019 Verified Purchase I picked this book up late in the evening, expecting to read enough to get a feel for the plot. The next thing I knew, I had read half of the book, and it was an hour past my bedtime. I slept uncomfortably as I subconsciously worked on the dilemma facing the couples who were the central characters. I rose early and finished the book, not able to wonder about the ending any longer. A gripping read with very descriptive and imaginative passages.
If by chance, you read one of my novels, I would appreciate any feedback you may have. Cheers! David C Horne
