Spoiler thread for discussion from the Other Prince's Tale to just before The Firebird's Tale. (p.177)

Eyving was a very stupid bear, (surely that's a "Bear of Very Little Brain"!) but I can certainly understand why he'd rather be a Polar bear than a mere man!

The prophecy telling when he can return to his bear form is very intriguing. Surely virgins are devoured daily, but "the sea turns to gold"? I was struck by the similarity to "One evening as the sun was counting up the day's gold in the West."

I really wish I could have found an e-copy of this (at a decent price�$14 here). I have a terrible tendency to forget the things I want to talk about before I can make a note of them, with paper...

I've been wondering if I should sketch out a graphic representation of the various stories as a kind of abstract 'plan' or map. You know, who tells what etc...

It's fairly simple tree. You could just create a directory structure on your computer, and screen grab the expanded folder.
