We are moving forward with quarterly reads. Suggestions can be Solarpunk adjacent, it’s still a new genre, but do try to avoid anything depressing. This threads will be up all month and the poll will go up in May for our June/July/August read.

Nicole | 67 comments Do we have a thread where we can collect reading suggestions (and find them again later, all in one place?) A pool of inspiration for whenever a poll comes up. or even for people to read in between if they wish.

I'll post a few books here now, doesn't necessarily mean we have to read them this summer, but just generally, to keep in mind...

Nicole | 67 comments David Abram: Becoming Animal

One of the few books on deep ecology that really had a profound impact on me. Incredibly poetic, beautiful language, and an amazing proposition of what it might mean to be part of this living cosmos. How life could feel. Marvelous.
(not solarpunk, exactly, but deep ecology, i.e. one of the contributory rivers, as I see it)

This is the author of "Refuge" in the Solarpunk Dragon Anthology. A number of people thought that story remarkable, and I liked it very much for the strong humanist stand.
So, maybe follow up with one of her novels from that same Halcyon Universe?

Luca Mig | 2 comments earth for all: a survival guide for humanity is slightly adjacent. non fiction but it includes the story of four girls and how their future can be if - or if not - certain measures are taken this decade
