October 2023 Group read #1 - How to Sell a Haunted House by Grady Hendrix

I ordered a copy early, it looked like it was going to win, hope to get it tomorrow or Wednesday :)

October is going to be a Hendrix month for me as I also have ǰǰö, Grady Hendrix Bestselling 2 Books Collection: The Final Girl Support Group; The Southern Book Club's Guide to Slaying Vampires and My Best Friend's Exorcism to read!

I reas this earlier this year and it is a creepy ride!

My copy just arrived, trying to finish something I've been working through before I start but it's starting at me from my kitchen table and it's hard to resist!

Personally I think this is the best book I have read by Hendrix. I have only read three of his books but I really loved this one. :)

That sounds so promising! I'm starting shortly, just finishing up my last book, 10 pages to go haha.

Whoa 5 stars from Marie, happy you liked this one, this will be my 2nd Hendrix read but I really enjoyed his first even though it has mixed opinions ( The Final Girl Support Group).
He also has a short story out, free on KU. It's super short, probably a five minute read.
Ankle Snatcher (Creature Feature collection)

I really enjoy Hendrix's writing style, and if you've read other books of his, you'll find little easter eggs in this which call back to references in his other works.
There's great humor here and its super creepy as well. I'll probably end up re-reading this once I've read some of Hendrix's other stuff.

Bits of humor in scary stories is so unexpected but it's always so memorable for me, looking forward to that!
On Chapter 3. Great so far.

I was super happy with this book! This was my third book by him - I read Paperbacks from Hell and We Sold Our Souls. I really loved this book more than anything as I love haunted house books so this was right up my alley. :)
Thank you for that book link. I need to grab them for KU later this month. I have too much to read at the moment. :)
