I have quite a few of the first in series, on my TBR. Good to see that you are into the series and like them.
This idea for a challenge is always a good one. You get to read comfort books, make progress on a series and keep things moving.
Good luck and happy reading, Carolien. 📚

Ah, LR Wright. I was so shocked when I heard she had died. I so enjoyed the Karl Alberg series and the start of her next one. I still have to start the Darko Dawson series. THIS YEAR! Great challenge idea.

Happy Reading!

However, there are always other authors that continue sometimes, like The Wheel of Time series that I'm going to try and start to tackle next year. Sometimes the heirs bring in another author to finish it out, or authors wait until the works are in public domain in order to add more. Nothing is for sure, but yes, in general, I agree with sticking with dead authors to make any sort of progress. :-)

LOL, I haven't thought of this, but I can see how this might be a successful approach. 🤣 Good luck!

Happy reading Carolien!

The McLean series in Edinburgh is right up your street, borderline horror.

Your list looks so interesting! I tried to add one to my tbr and found it was already there...ugh, time to get to it.
I'm going to check out the others. I'm also working my way through AC's Shetland, and love almost anything Anthony Horowitz puts out.

I'd also recommend the panel on Watery Graves, I'm reading my way through series by Marsali Taylor and Philip Gwynne Jones at the moment.

I still think there is merit in sticking to dead authors as one then actually have a chance to catch up with a series!
