lana | 1 comments hello!! I am new to this group, and was wondering if anyone would want to give me some recommendations for horror/thrillers. I'm not a huge fan of slow-burn as it makes me lose interest quickly, but I wouldn't mind one if it also held a lot of suspense and mystery! My goal for reading is to be truly scared --like heart-pounding, on the edge of my seat scared. That being said, while psychological books can be good they don't always hold that fear factor that I'm craving. I like books with creatures, supernaturals, ghosts, whatever; there really isn't a limitation as long as I can enjoy the horror as being scary and thought-provoking.
I enjoy themes of horror that include farms/corn fields, dolls/puppets/clowns, hauntings, doesn't matter. The only thing I will say doesn't really scare me are things such as snakes, zombies, spiders, etc... so any recommendations would be highly appreciated!!

Hi lana,

I moved your thread to the recommendation folder where it's a better fit. Feel free to browse the other threads in this section for ideas.

Anita (neet413) | 812 comments Hello!

Pretty much anything by the author Bentley Little will definitely scratch that horror itch. Specifically The Mailman, The Association, The Policy, and The Academy.

Other than that, the Repairman Jack series by F Paul Wilson is very good,
