Ginney Etherton | 12 comments How many books can you read at the same time? I usually have a paperback, an e-book, and an audio book going at the same time. However, 2 books I had on-hold on Library2Go came available immediately after I'd started another one. I also had downloaded a sample from Amazon. 6 is too many for me!

sonya marie madden | 441 comments I can listen to an audiobook and read a second book at the same time

Cate (The Professional Fangirl) (chaostheory08) | 199 comments I can read one e-book and one physical book. But I don't do that all the time. I have a lot of things on my plate right now that reading gets pushed back, unfortunately.

Jim Vuksic | 96 comments Although I am an avid reader and very seldom watch television, listen to the radio, or play games, one book at a time is my limit, and it usually takes me three to four weeks to read it. There are just too many other things to do, people to see, and places to visit.

Pamela Murdaugh-Smith (pamelamurdaugh-smith) There have been a few times that I have had two books going at the same time, just recently even. Normally though, I prefer to give my full attention to one story at a time. I like to immerse myself in the world created and relish in each individual character and story-line.

Nicholas Jr | 4 comments I would say 2 at a time is my limit, although I'd rather focus all my attention on just one book, so I can really enjoy it and immerse myself in it.

I wrote my answer without looking at the previous person's comment! Pamela, I agree with you 100%.

Robert | 1 comments I usually have 2 to 3 books going at a time. I do play favorites though, meaning that if i'm reading a 2 books and finish one and that book is part of a series, I usually will begin the next book in the series to keep the momentum going before returning to the already started book. If that makes any sense?

message 8: by Nuran (new)

Nuran (nuurie) | 3 comments Only 1 at a time because I enjoy story-telling in other forms too like movies, tv, games and graphic novels. I have to fit it all in somehow!!!

message 9: by Penny (new)

Penny (glorybe) Usually 2 books at a time, one I read during the day and the other when I go to bed.

message 10: by Britta (new)

Britta (macdeath) | 1 comments I don't think there's really a limit to how many I can read at once, but I have been trying to read fewer books at a time, for whatever reason. I managed to go one book at a time for a little while, but right now I'm reading two really long books at the same time as well as reading shorter books on the side. :D

message 11: by Mariel (new)

Mariel Grey | 125 comments I generally read and focus on one book at a time. That being said, there are occasions when I am reading multiple books, usually because I am reading one and another one I really wanted to read falls in my lap.

message 12: by Chani (new)

Chani (tempestchani) | 15 comments I try and read one at a time so I can really give it all of my attention, and I'm pretty fast so usually I can finish a book within two days or so. However, if I start a book and I'm not very into it, then I'll add more to my plate and sort of juggle in an attempt to get through the boring book while reading something else that interests me. If it's a series of bad books, which is currently happening to me, then I end up with five books on my currently reading list and I sort of jump between all of them. :/

message 13: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (elizabeth8921) | 2233 comments It depends on the book! If it is very involved I usually try and just read one at a time.

Some books like many "cozies" I can read several at a time. I take them with me when I have to wait for appointments.

I have finally learned that if I do not like the book put it down and forget it.

message 14: by Christina (new)

Christina George (christinageorge) | 2 comments Five - I know that's so ridiculous :-)

Elizabeth (elizabeth8921) | 2233 comments Five books at a time? Good for you. I wish I could do that.

message 16: by Maria (new)
