Through Ch. 10

(view spoiler)[I thought the first part of these 10 chapters was too funny in certain parts. I can't imagine taking the wrong bag and then end up going to such an important meeting in 6 inch heels...that's nothing I can wear anymore and Sam is 45. Not a spring chick. But the things she and Nisha did because of that exchange was too funny.

On the other hand what a freaking a-hole Carl is OMG! How on earth could you do what he did to someone you've been married to for 18 years! He's a JERK!! I keep wondering if Nisha actually did anything at all that he can try to use to justify his cold-heartedness to leave her totally penniless with no alternatives. I just can't believe he did that to her and won't even let her get her own things. I don't feel like she did anything but I am wondering. How else could he have done that? Curious to find out! I've been hanging on to these comments thinking someone else would enter this thread and we could have more of a discussion about the book but here are my final comments.

Through Ch. 20
(view spoiler)[Not a lot else has happened except I can’t get my mind off a $6700 coat! Lol Charlotte wearing her coat would be such a slap in the face. Carl just shows himself more and more to be a total jerk! Why on earth does he want those shoes? I couldn’t believe he laughed right in Nisha’s face. I feel like strangling him!
Phil is just going a little psycho on the red shoes. He’s going crazy with all of his fantasies of what Sam does in them and with whom! lol
Through Ch. 30
(view spoiler)[I was busting up laughing when Jasmine told Nisha about putting itching powder in Carls’s underwear. I love it! Lol
I was happy that Andrea’s doctor appointment went well for her.
I don’t� know about the scheme to get back the shoes, but I hope she does and that Carl honors what he said and she’ll get some money, mainly so she can get her poor son. I feel so bad for Ray. His dad basically considers him dead to him all because he’s gay? That’s so unforgivable! It breaks my heart that Ray tried to commit suicide! I just hope Nisha can get the shoes and get him before he possibly tries again and worse yet could be successful.

So the shoes had diamonds in them…wow! Carl was not only a jerk but he’s also a crook! I’m glad that Nisha finally had a backbone and Carl got what was coming to him. She outsmarted him in the end. I was also happy that Sam and Phil are working on their marriage because I think they stand a good chance, but thank God Carl is out of Nisha’s life and she has Ray back!
