It does seem odd, especially with Milton Place, though I'm not sure she even submitted that one to any publishers. I'll have a look later and see if there is any information in the intro.
I'll have to add Milton Place to my list - I haven't read it yet!

I loved Milton Place, this one I'm finding harder to get into. I think it's another one where I could do with a chunk of time to just sit down with it.

Me too. I loved Milton Place, but this one has taken me so long to read. I just haven't found that I have wanted to pick it up. The separate characters and choppiness haven't helped, though the stories have combined to an extent. It has taken me about 3 weeks to get through, which is unusual. I hope to finish off tomorrow.
