This is the 5th in the series, and the Baudelaires find themselves off to boarding school Of course it is a truly awful boarding school, completely absurd, and Count Olaf's latest disguise and costume had me snort with laughter. What is lovely is the introduction of the Quagmire Triplets, also unfortunate orphans, who became friends with the Baudelaires.

I listened to the audiobook, thinking I'd borrowed one with Tim Curry as narrator. No - it was read by Lemony Snicket himself and was issued in connection with the Netflix series. I did not care for his voice or manner of speaking, certainly not after Tim Curry, so I knocked a half star off my review.
