I am hoping to join this round with a novella after I finish my current round, which should be in about a week (just wrote my 3rd review).

You have previously reviewed me, (a different book) and Gene has reviewed me (a different book).

I know you can't admit me until I've completed the other round, but I hope this helps with your planning so we can get this one going.

Seth, James, and Thomas, I am so sorry! I can't see a way to fit you in with the current conflicts as I can't move anyone enough to fit you without them conflicting with each other.

I’m a new author here and don’t quite understand how everything works. I’ve read the rules, but I’m not sure how it all plays out in practice. I want to join the rounds, but I might make some mistakes.

So, as I understand, this group isn’t full yet? I can sign up, and then I’ll need to read 4 books within 12 weeks and leave reviews here on Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ and on Amazon.

Pretty much. As of right now, the group still has three slots to fill. You will give a copy of your book to 4 specific people to review for you, and you will be given 4 specific books from the list in the first post to review. When you finish posting a review on Amazon and Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ, you will also need to post links to both those reviews in this group and let the moderator know which book/ round the reviews completed. Each book will have a different deadline for the review (the one designated as your "first round review" will be first), but you can always complete the reviews early. You cannot join another group until you finish your reviews for this one.

Thank you for the detailed response. I agree with all the terms and am ready to get started. I just have one last question: my story is split into two books because:

1. Amazon only prints up to 828 pages per book, and mine has 848 pages.
2. Plus, Amazon no longer allows creating sets for books, where multiple books could be offered as one product with a single payment.

Due to these two limitations, I had to split my book into two volumes. For those who will need to read my two-volume series, I’d like to reassure them that it’s a comic book, so there won’t be much actual reading involved—it’s mainly about looking at the illustrations. Additionally, there are a few light sexual scenes, but they’re not explicit—it’s a mild version of intimacy without nudity. Because of this, I’ve marked it as 18+ on Amazon.

Is it okay for me to participate in your reading rounds with my two separate comic books, which contain a couple of light sexual scenes but tell one cohesive story?

Hello, Yatzka. You can join with one separate book at a time. If you'd like both volumes reviewed, you can join this group, have one volume reviewed, then when you have finished all four of your reviews on both Amazon and Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ and posted links to them, you can join another round and have the other volume reviewed.
As this is a general round, you can join with any book as long as it is published on Amazon, and can be reviewed both there and on goodreads.
Is that acceptable to you? If so, I'll put you in one of the last two slots, and we'll be nearly ready.

I see that James had tried to join after Amber and wasn't able to fit, but it seems he can fit right now in the number one spot if he reviews my RFK Jr. book (which he expressed interest in) instead of the Baroness of Surli (which he has already reviewed). I would be okay with that if you are okay with it, and if he fits in other ways. I think the only other person he reviewed was the other Jennifer, but that was for a different book. (You and Gene had reviewed a different one of his books.)

Please follow these instructions to make sure that you are not reviewing someone who has reviewed you before, or being reviewed by someone you have reviewed.
PLEASE DO NOT RELY ON MEMORY AS THIS HAS CAUSED PROBLEMS IN THE PAST!
You will need to check to see if you have reviewed any of the 4 people above you (the list wraps, so 10 is above 1) review, or if the 4 people below you have reviewed you. (Hopefully not.)

To check if you have reviewed someone above you, do this:

1. Go to your own profile. Under your picture, there are three links. Click on the middle link.
2. On the page this click takes you to, find the small search box that says "Search and add books
3. Type in the name of one of the 4 authors above you, then click the icon of the magnifying glass.
4. If you have never reviewed that person (which is good) the next page should say 'You have no books matching "[That author's name]" '
5. Do this three more times for each of the other three authors above you. If you get the same message that "You have no books matching "[Author's Name]"' then you have not reviewed any of the 4 people above you, and you are good in that direction.

To check if the 4 people below you have reviewed you, do this:

1. Go to the profile of one of them. Click on the middle link below their picture.
2. Type your name in the box on the next page that says "Search and add books
3. On the next page, if it says [Author's name] has no books matching "[Your name]" then they have not reviewed you, which is good!
4. Do with the other three people below you. If each one says [Author's name] has no books matching "[Your name]" then you have not been reviewed by any of the four people below you.


If you have not reviewed the 4 people above you, and the 4 people below you have not reviewed you, then you are good to go!
(The 5th person from you is in your blind spot. Neither of you will review the other.)

Once you have checked both above and below, if you are good to go, please get on here, and state that you are good to go!

I just checked above and below me per the instructions I left above (it took all of four minutes to do) and I am Good to Go!

Please remember the commitment you are making to your fellow group members. If you pull out after the start date for any reason it is the other members who will be faced with the problem of finding a replacement, or missing out on reads/reviews, through no fault of their own. Please don’t ask the moderators to chase after replacements as we just don’t have the time.

It is the responsibility of the author to get their book to their readers in a format the reviewer can manage. Everyone must be able to provide and accept PDF. You may buy or borrow the books you are due to read if you wish, and I’m sure the author will appreciate the verified review, but IT IS NOT COMPULSORY. There are no set dates for the start of each round. You can each work at your own pace, within the limits of the round deadlines.

All reviews must be posted to GR. We also encourage members to post on Amazon. When you have posted your reviews, please post the links to each of your reviews, not the book page in this thread.
The mod of each round will record whether members have posted reviews on Amazon and for the good of all, members who persistently fail to post reviews or DNF reviews to Amazon, will find mods less than willing to add them to subsequent groups.

Postings to other sites are by agreement by both author and reviewer.

If I’ve missed something that results in you being asked to review someone who has already reviewed you, please let me know asap.

To exchange book files, my advice is to use PM to give email addresses to each other (save the chance of spammers getting your addies from this open forum).

Setting up and modding these rounds is a labour of love, with a lot of emphasis on the ‘labour�. If you want to show appreciation for all the hard work we admins put in for the group, you could download one of our books as a ‘thank you�.

Everyone, we've finally gotten started! Please contact your four people above, and four people below. You will be reading the books of the four people below you, and sending yours to the four people above you.

You need to be able to send and also receive, at least, PDFs.

If you want to buy the books you are required to read, it is welcome, but not necessary.

It is best, in my opinion, when you are in a group like this, to go to the very first post. In that post, you will be able to click on the person's name and that will take you to the right page: /author/show...

Under their picture you’ll see a grey button that says "Follow Author". Beside that button, you'll see a v shaped icon. If you click that, one of the options should be to send a message. You can contact people that way.
