I started reading intentionally in 2022. My boyfriend is a big reader and he gave me the confidence and the space to try and incorporate it into my life. I've never been reader, I sort of attribute that to being in French immersion all through elementary school and not really learning proper English until high school. I struggled with grammar, syntax, vocabulary and essay writing... Maybe that, or my raging ADHD that was never diagnosed. I still find it hard to read sometimes. My mind likes to wander unless I absolutely love what I'm reading.
In 2022, I had a goal of reading 6 books, I only made it to 3.

In December I participated in my first group read with an advent calendar type book by Per Jacobsen called 25 Days. It was a real challenge reading only one chapter a day leading up to Christmas, but I held out. I will definitely do this again next year, here is hoping I find a book!

Readers' Picks Challenge

I'd like to start building a physical library with books that I love and want to keep.
