It was a beautiful day today, in the Streamclan Camp. the sun was shining, flowers were blooming, and the leaves were falling as usual. but Blindpaw wouldn't know that. he was, as his name suggested, blind. right now, he could only feel the warmth of the sun, hear the bees buzzing near the flowers, and feel the soft crunch under his paws as he stepped on leaves. he sat near the edge of camp and listened to nature's sounds. the buzzing of flies, the mewing of nearby cats, the sound of his own heartbeat, all of it.
he was collecting herbs for the medicine cat today, today he had ginger, garlic, and lavender. he approached the medicine cat's den.

LynxStar shot a pittying glance towards the blind apprentice. She stood atop the Highridge, looked down at her Clan. Pride warmed her pelt as she watched a patrol bring in a huge load of prey. Greenleaf always brought life to the forest.
Blindpaw dropped off the supplies, and heard a patrol being brought in. he could smell the food, too. must be a big haul. he could hear in the distance a heartbeat filled with sadness, or a similar emotion. it came from Lynxstar's direction. they think that because I'm blind i can't sense their emotion? tsk. he looked down in annoyance.

Lynxstar leaped down from the Highridge to congratulate the hunting patrol before turning and heading towards Blindpaw.
(actually I'm a warrior apprentice, but i prove my worth and gain recognition by helping wherever i can around the clan.)
Blindpaw hears Lynxstar getting closer, and he bows, as he says, "Lynxstar. To what do i owe the pleasure?" he doesn't want to disrespect her, he's already disliked for his disability. thankfully the odd jobs have helped.

Lynxstar dips her head in response, though she knows he can't see it. "How is your training going? I've seen how hard you've been working. I know its hard for you." She wasn't one to ignore that he was blind. If Lynxstar were blind, she wouldn't want everyone acting tiptoing around her to avoid hurting her feelings.
Blindpaw almost winced when she mentioned his blindness. a near unnoticeable twitch of the eye. so even the leader thinks I'm helpless? oof. he didn't notice her bow, but he stopped his bow, assuming she had returned the gesture. "My training has been going well. I can now hear cats and prey from twice as far as normal cats and i can smell nearly 3x further than the average."

Lynxstar noticed his discomfort and lowered her voice. "Blindpaw, I know you are capable of great things. I don't underestimate you because you are blind. I need you to know that."
Blindpaw paused. he listened for her heartbeat. no lies. well this is new. genuine belief? he said, "you may believe in me, but others might not, and i can only prove myself when i become an actual warrior, or at least that's what people say. so i need to do what makes me... acceptable." he was being honest.

Blindpaw stood there for a moment, words registering. again, she wasn't lying. might I actually have someone on my side? and... she said everything I desire. is it possible that I could one day meet my parents? but they're dead... no she must be thinking of starclan. he walked off. but maybe... and his head filled with dreams as he walked off.

Lynxstar stepped out of her den after a long nights rest. Her pelt stood on end and her eyes were wild with fear and confusion. She walked over to the medicine den, trying to seem normal to keep from worrying her Clanmates. She spots Willowdrip and says "I had a vision."

Willowdrip walked over to Lynxstar den, yawning. ``Lynxstar? I believe the clan is in danger.....cause of that vision you had the other day``
