Set in England during the Black Plague of 1349, this historical fantasy brings the superstitions of the time to life think angels and demons, druid seers and warriors, prophecy and power, and a rising darkness only the light can stand against.
The book has already been soft-released on Amazon (available now in eBook and paperback), but I’m preparing for a final, polished re-release in 4 weeks, a month before the second book The Shadows of Darkness will be released—and I want to make it the best it can be. (I’ll be sending sign up forms for the second book “The Shadows of Darkness soon.)
I’m looking for beta readers who can read the full novel within 2-3 weeks and give feedback on specific story elements (don’t worry—grammar isn’t one of them).
What kind of feedback I need:
Pacing Did any parts drag or feel rushed?
Plot clarity Were there confusing or unrealistic moments?
Character development Did the characters feel real and compelling? Who were your favorite, not so favorite and what you wished to see more from them? If anything.
Emotional engagement Did you feel something? Were certain scenes powerful (or not)? What was your favorite scene? (I know mine 😉) What was your least and why?
Continuity Did anything feel like a plot hole or unfinished thread such as unresolved mysteries or moments??
Dialogue Did the conversations flow naturally? Any awkward spots?
World-building Did the setting and magic feel immersive and clear?
You don’t need to worry about grammar or sentence structure. I want to know what moved you, what confused you, what made you turn the page or want to stop.
Trigger Warnings:
It has a suicide attempt scene (failed) and graphic violence
There are limited spots so I can really take in each person’s feedback—so if this sounds like you, please sign up below! Available Formats: ePub, PDF, Word on BookFunnel or I can email it to you.
