Awhile ago I setup to have Michael's books sent for free via Operation ebook Drop to soldiers overseas. Over 50 soliders got coupons to download free versions of eBooks and I'm already receiving emails of thanks from both men and women in Iraq and Afganistan. Unfortunately this only allows for electronic books and there are a lot of soldiers that don't have electronic reading devices (like Kindle etc). So.....
I researched another organziation called Books for Soliders which will provide mailing addresses so I can mail books to those overseas. The problem is that paying for the printing and shipping puts too big of a dent in my wallet - so I thought I would see if the generosity of those people here on GoodReads would chip in to help out our troops.
I've made a link where you can purchase a copy of any of Michael's 3 books to be sent overseas. The prices on this page have no profit in them - it is exactly what I pay for the books (+ credit card processing fees). The books you purchase will not be sent to you instead they will be sent overseas to our fighting men and women (I'll pay the shipping). Becuase there is no profit in the prices I've listed and no compensation is going to Amazon or a Bookstore the prices are low (under $6.50 for each of them). So you can give a book for a fraction of the price then if you went to Amazon or a bookstore to get one.
