OK, this is Christian related, but I'm not sure where else to put it!

One of my best friends is an atheist, and I'm really uncomfortable about talking to her about Christianity, because she disagrees with everything I say. I haven't put any of these comments that I make here on my update feed because of her.

You don't have to "force Christianity down her throat" (let me tell you, Raven's gonna give you a hard time about that if ya do!), but you also shouldn't just� hide that little light of yours. Sorry to quote a little kid song, but that's one way to put it. :) Matthew 5:13-16

Don't bring up Christianity.

i'd say we should prob. try and move this to one of the groups alex has made - the one about if you need advice or whatever . . . lolz. just look at the groups and you'll prob. find the one i mean xD

but yeah. if she's disagreeing with you all the time, just bring Christianity up when you can (this is nothing against you, Your Friendly Neighborhood Grammar Nazi - i just think it should still be brought up sometimes ;) ). for instance, and this is just an example, something you could maybe try doing is if she says 'hey! how are ya?' say something like 'i'm good by God's grace!'. or something ;) like alex said - bring it up when the time is appropriate - but also like what sandy said, let your light shine too. the bible says that - Let your light so shine before men . . .

so yeah. i'd say don't shove it down her throat, but also don't just leave it be so much it's like when you're around her you don't even believe in God.

and while i might civilly disagree with her shoving it down someone's throat, sandy, i wouldn't "give her a hard time" :P buuuuut you were joking around. lol. :D

in the beginning of your comment, I think you mean "discussions" when you talk about "groups." Correct? :D

Well, you were saying that sooooo much to me back during the debate with Kira and Jules� it got really, really annoying :) sorry but you used it waaaaay too much back then ;)

hm...you're at quite a dilemma. main point is you still need to try to help her become christian but not in a forceful way and make sure not to forget mentioning christ to her completely because then your not helping anybody. sorry i can't say anything helpful but you're going to need to talk to her.

i'd also say pray about it. "Pray without ceasing" the Bible says. whenever we have a "dilemma" in life we have to just keep coming to God and asking him to give us wisdom, you know?

Well, does she disagree about EVERYTHING? I mean one of my friends is an atheist and I don't have a hard time talking with her.

well, not everything- but she's that kind of person that you can't argue with out loud (or maybe i'm that kind of person that can't argue out loud) and so there are loads of things that she says that I definitely don't believe- and I don't know what to say to her....

Just say that you don't really believe that and if she'd mind talking about something else now. In other words, change the subject after telling her what you think.

Me? I don't. Seriously, I (unfortunately) have more arguments with Christians then I do athiests, since I believe in evolution and gay marriage.

My advice would be to just agree to disagree. Accept that you both have different opinions, and agree to be respectful of each other's beliefs.

I've never heard of those, but I've seen pictures of Italian mountains that looked absolutely gorgeous.

They are! And btw, the Dolomites are in the Alps, but in a certain part of it.

Camping was tons of fun. Three of the canoes tipped. XD

They're in New Hampshire, and run a little bit into eastern Vermont. We drove to New Hampshire and canoed for eight miles until we reached our Vermont campsite. It was lots of fun, though my hands are a bit blistered from the paddles. But I have a Spongebob band-aid, so it's all good. ;)

Mexico! I would love to go somewhere that speaks a foreign language. And those gorgeous Caribbean islands most definitely count! That must have been an amazing experience. :D
