Mandy Hi everyone,

I've got a new game, not sure how it will go but thought I'd give it a try. You answer the previous if I could and post your own if I could to be answered. It's a kind of a get to know you game and doesn't have to be book related.

Example:

Person A: If I could be a teacher in any subject I would be ...

Person B: If I could be a teacher in any subject I would be an English teacher and try to make it more enthralling than my English teachers ever did.

If I could be a character out of any book I'd be ...

Person C: If I could be a character out of any book I'd be blah, blah, blah. Et cetera.

I hope that makes sense and the idea is to not just answer with one word, give us an insight into what you're thinking.

message 8: by Mandy (new)

Mandy If I could have any job in the world the first thing that comes off the top of my head is a travel agent, I could do heaps of research of where I wanted to visit and get discount! Plus I think I'm a pretty organised person so I'd love to organise people's holidays for them.

If I could go back in time and revisit a certain age it would be ...

message 9: by Sherry (new)

Sherry Hmmm... that's a tougher question than I first thought. All the periods of time I'd like to visit have serious disadvantages, especially as a woman. The periods of time I find the most fascinating are during and immediately following both the world wars. Those periods changed the shape of the world and that would be interesting to witness first hand.

message 21: by Joanie (new)

Joanie | 714 comments Hmm...If I could go back to any age I guess I'd go back to 4th grade, when I was 9 and 10. I loved my teacher that year and that's when I started to get into reading. That's also when I started to really feel caught up in school (I'm a December birthday so I was 4 for the first half of kindergarten and I definitely struggled for a bit) and when I started to see myself as good at school. It was also a fun time for sleepovers etc.

Kirsty (kirstyreadsandcreates) | 610 comments If I could go back in time and change an event that occurred in my life it would be when I left college after a month and a half. I kinda regret it because I only have my high school qualifications, but then I wouldn't have moved away from home and experienced as much as I have done, so maybe it wasn't a bad thing... who knows. I'm trying to make it in the entertainment industry, and can't help thinking that an A-Level or Degree in Performing Arts would help me...

Getting to immerse yourself in all the various cultures of humanity and forming great connections with people all over the globe. I miss traveling regularly.

message 31: by Chloe (new)

Chloe (countessofblooms) | 1128 comments Natalie Portman. Hands down, no hesitation, no question. I can't think of a single person in Hollywood more intelligent, worldly, or just plain sexy. Sure, I'd probably not be able to resist poking at her views on Israel, but I can do that in a non-offensive manner. Plus, she's a classy lady and would let me down easy rather than laughing when I go for the (hypothetical) kiss at the end of the date.

Mandy This is a tough one and I can't really explain why but the first thing that popped into my head was:

If I could be any inanimate thing I would be a clock, at least it still moves somewhat and to have all that time! Time seems to be something we never have enough of, can't buy it and it just goes too darn fast. To be the timekeeper as such could perhaps prolong that - until the batteries run out - ha ha

If I could go to the shop right this minute and buy anything besides a book it would be ...
