Jennifer (jennyamhstyedu) | 5 comments Lynn,
What did you think of "Bound With Love"? I have it, too, and I really enjoyed it. I love looking at Christianbook.com's catalogs. I always have to look at the new novella's!

Lyn (lyncote) | 30 comments Hi Kate,
I'm so glad you enjoy Love Inspired novels. I enjoy writing them.
I just turned in my last in a series, but it won't be out till Dec 2010!
I do have a Love Inspired Classic that is out this Sept and a Love Inspired Historical out this Dec. Just saw the covers and love them.
And I am an escapist reader too.
Life is heavy.

Lyn (lyncote) | 30 comments You can't go wrong with Lenora Worth, Marta Perry, Gail Martin and Margaret Daley.

And there are so many new LI authors that I haven't read them all.

Can't keep up my reading when I'm writing!
Lyn

Jennifer (texasaggieteacher) | 101 comments I agree with Lyn, Kate. You will like them. Love Lenora Worth and Margaret Daley!

message 8: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer (texasaggieteacher) | 101 comments Of course I've read several of Lyn's books too. Can't put those down either. I read fast, but get so absorbed when I read I feel like I'm in the book!

message 9: by Jennifer (last edited Jul 22, 2009 05:52PM) (new)

Jennifer (texasaggieteacher) | 101 comments Margaret Daley has a series called Foster in Love...I believe. Those are good. It focuses on foster kids and you kinda follow characters from the previous books. And her Ladies of Sweetwater is good as well. She had a Foster in Love one out this month. Lenora Worth's Garden Series and Texas Heart series are both good too.

message 10: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer (texasaggieteacher) | 101 comments Hahaha. They weren't THAT sad! You are hilarious. glad you found something though. You can't knock em till you try them!

message 11: by Lyn (new)

Lyn (lyncote) | 30 comments I would suggest my LI Classic coming out in Sept. Not sad, but heart-warming. IMHO!

And I've read Marta's Leah's Choice to give her an endorsement. I don't like Amish stories usually. But it was so well done that I was happy to give it a good quote.
Time to shut down for the evening!

message 12: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer (texasaggieteacher) | 101 comments Yeah, i figured that when you said none of the author's appealed to you. I have those times too. Happily Ever Afters are easier to escape in than ones that have deeper issues in them.

message 13: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer (texasaggieteacher) | 101 comments LOL....so didn't think you were depressed! :D Totally understood what you were saying.

message 14: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer (texasaggieteacher) | 101 comments Well, we know you will like Cathy Marie Hake, Yvonne Lehman is good...and she's funny. Linda Ford is good too. Don't know about the others.

message 15: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer (texasaggieteacher) | 101 comments I may have read them, just don't remember the titles or authors. I'm sure i have with as much as i read. LOL

Jennifer (texasaggieteacher) | 101 comments Hehehe....you go girl! And that's a good series. I've read it before. I think you will like it.

Hannah (hannah-banana) | 1 comments I am just starting The Apothecary's Daughter. Supposedly very good, though not her best book. I LOVED The Lightkeeper's Daughter, which I just finished and this was recommended to me. So I'll give it a shot :)

message 28: by Rachel (new)

Rachel Brand (pixieauthoress) I got The Apothecary's Daughter free on Kindle a while back, looking forward to hearing what you think of it, Hannah!

message 29: by Lena (new)

Lena Dooley (lenanelsondooley) | 21 comments I read the Apothecary's Daughter on my Kindle. It was the first free book I downloaded and read. I loved it. I will be reading more of her books.

I am in the middle of reading An Ocean Away by Lisa Harris. A very interesting and intriguing book set in Northern Rhodesia and New York in 1920.

message 30: by Lena (new)

Lena Dooley (lenanelsondooley) | 21 comments I got the date wrong in my last post. An Ocean Away is in 1921, not 1920, and it is awesome.

Kristy (riverunbroken) | 71 comments I am reading Secrets of Harmony Grove after taking a break from it. I will probably rate it a 2 or 3 at this point. Probably a 3.

Looks like a great book! Not your typical historical novel.
