Lacy♪ ♫Movements of a Demigod ♪ ♫ (lb3553) | 466 comments I'm sorry to hear that you didn't care for it Sashana. Hopefully I will like it since I've had it requested at the library forever. Hopefully I will get it soon though.

message 102: by Sashana (new)

Sashana No loss, I just read Hush, Hush and I loved it. I requested Wings from my library so I'm in no shortage of angel books.

Heather | 504 comments Sashana! OMG, same here!

Lacy, let us know what you think of it. Some people had problems and some didn't with Fallen..

Sashana I guess it's just one of those books you love or hate-no in betweens.

Lacy♪ ♫Movements of a Demigod ♪ ♫ (lb3553) | 466 comments Heather wrote: "Yeah, true, true.. Maybe Lacy will be one of those who likes it.."

Hopefully I will like it, but I've found the YA books really are love/hate and no in between.

message 108: by Sashana (new)

Sashana It definitely just lost some points for being 'cutesy'.

Lacy♪ ♫Movements of a Demigod ♪ ♫ (lb3553) | 466 comments Yeah, but maybe you will like it better. I think part of my problem was that I needed a break from YA for a little while.

Heather | 504 comments JenC, have you asked someone to order it? I bug them all the time at my library and it works. Granted, I have to wait now for the book but at least I'll get it.

Julie, I keep hearing good things so that's why I wanted to check it out..

Speaking of sad and patetic places my parents just went to Texas I think San Antonio and she said they never saw a book store or a library the whole time they were there. She was even looking because she ran out of books to read

My librarians are friendly except when you want a book they don't have. From what I've heard from them they are just frustrated by the budget cuts. They feel bad that they aren't ordering all the books that everyone wants, but they can't do anything about it.

Ginger Davis | 41 comments Nevermore (Nevermore, #1) by Kelly Creagh

I finished yesterday and I think it's best to say the Jury's still out. I really liked parts of the book. I think, having just come off of Clockwork Angel, i expected the same type of "writing style" and i didn't get it. =\ My fault for having expectations lol
It was definitely a more 'youthful' writing style, which I generally love.
I liked a lot of the storyline. And I loved the two leads. Very unpredictable pairing, and that it a more interesing read.
NOW, as for the rest of you reading... it's a series. I went into it NOT knowing there would be a second book. Just preparing you. If' I'd known, I might not have thrown the book across the room and hit a wall (after I read the last chapter) So...just a heads up :)
I think there will be mixed reviews. But I encourage everyone to read :) Definitely a mysterious book.

I know the feeling. I couldn’t bring myself to read anything yesterday so I watched movies all day. I guess reading slumps come with the territory when you read as much as we do.

message 150: by Sans (new)

Sans Good point. Especially since I really stick to only a couple of genres. I'd expand my horizons but when I do pick up a mystery book or a YA or regular fiction, I just can't get into them.
