Let's see who actually gets it since Thomas Nelson has been a stickler lately with accepting requests to review it! LOL!

I got approved for An Amish Wedding too! I'm so excited! It went in my junk mail and if I did not see Diane's post I probabl would not have looked in there. I like the short stories too!
Also I got approved for a Children's Book and the are e-mailing me stuff like media and pictures to use with the review. I've never reviewed a book and they gave me all that neat stuff!

You sign up with NetGalley and they offer electronic copies of books in exchange for a review. You need to have a blog that you post your reviews too. I also post all my reviews to GoodReads and Amazon. The more books you review the more likely you are to get approved to review a book. Some publishers are pickier than others about who they allow to review. The program is completely free. Hope that helps!
If you want an idea of what a review blog looks like I have mine here:
Camille

Once you have signed up you are set up. Then you start looking through the titles they have available, and you can click a button to request a review copy. You'll then get an email sometime later (sometimes quickly, sometimes days or weeks later) letting you know if you are approved.
Does that help?

I'm following your blog Mary! I cannot wait to read your book reviews!

What's your first book?

Squee, so excited! I love her books!

She's done that to my review on my blog too, she's such a lovely woman. I just read on Facebook that her husband has had to go into hospital because of a blood clot, though, which is really sad. Just wanted to let people know so they can pray for her family!

Lucky!! I see Barbour books has taken the auto approve away from there books. I hope they don't get all picky now with who they allow. I have reviewed tons of there books.

I'm sure if you've reviewed tons of their books they'll still want you. I hadn't noticed that with Barbour but it's been a month or so since I requested a book from them.

I read a different article before that had criticism about turning a tragic event's anniversary into a "party cruise."
Do you think this is just capitalizing on a tragedy?

My in-laws went on a MYSTERY tour that ended up going to memorials in the northeast. Sounded TERRIBLY depressing, but they loved it. They described it as celebrating the lives of people who had died rescuing others, etc. I admit ... sounds heavy for me, but they are real history buffs.
Diane, I didn't realize A Perfect Square was up for review. I'm still editing the ARCs. lol.

Vannetta, how does that work then? If we're given these early e copies from NetGalley, and there ..."
I'm intrigued too!

I assume there's something on what you're reviewing that states it's an Advanced Reader Copy. : ) I'm not allowed to change much at this point ... mainly looking for typos, etc. Trust me. That plot isn't changing. Hee hee. I love it!
Camille and Lorie, thanks for ordering!
